Third Grade Concerts

Our third grade students have been working hard to prepare for their upcoming winter concerts. We invite their families to join us on their designated night. Please see the "Events and Reminders" section for more details.

4th Grade Marcos Pizza Night

Looking for a way to support our schools with our Midview Compass Committee? Plan to participate in the upcoming Grafton Marco's Pizza Night on December 12! Order online or over the phone using the code "WEST 4" and enter/mention the name of a Midview 4TH-GRADE teacher to receive credit for the order. The 4th-grade class with the most orders will win a free pizza party!

Early Release Day

The district will be on an early release schedule on Friday, Dec. 15th. As a reminder, West students will be dismissed at 1:15 p.m. this day.

Events & Reminders

December 4 | 3rd Grade Winter Concert | 6:00-7:00pm

Students in Ms. Rogerson's, Mrs. Fair's, Mrs. Rozanski's, Ms. Reams' and Mr. Keeton's class will perform on the night of December 4th at 6:00 pm. All students need to arrive no later than 5:30 pm.


December 5 | 3rd Grade Winter Concert | 6:00-7:00pm

Students in Mrs. Foster's, Mrs. Mlinarcik's, Ms. Barak's, and Mrs. Eppich's class will perform on the night of December 5th at 6:00 pm. All students need to arrive no later than 5:30 pm.


December 11-15 | Holiday Spirit Week

Join us for our holiday spirit week! Students are encouraged to join us in celebrating the holiday season, but participation is not required.

December 19 | West Winter Parties

We are so excited to celebrate all our students' hard work with fun winter-themed parties! Be on the lookout for more information about your child's party from their homeroom teacher.


December 20-January 2 | Winter Break

Midview Local Schools will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 20, through Tuesday, Jan. 2, for Winter Break. School will resume on Wednesday, Jan. 3!


Cold Weather Reminder

As colder weather begins to settle into Ohio, please remember to send your child to school prepared with a hat, gloves, and coat. We will continue to enjoy outdoor recess any day that is above 25 degrees, with wind chill.

Thanksgiving Feast with Mrs. Kaiser's Class

On Monday, November 20th, Mrs. Kaiser's class hosted a Friendsgiving luncheon for their teachers and district administration. The homemade menu consisted of chicken noodle soup, fruit salad, and cookies. Each of the students helped to clean, cut, and cook the entire menu! They used kid-safe knives to chop all the vegetables for the soup and the fruit for the fruit salad. To tie the feast in with our curriculum, the students worked together to measure the ingredients for the cookies and scoop them onto the pan. Next, they helped to create decorations and transform the classroom into a festive dining room. We are all extremely grateful to our Midview PTA for sponsoring our luncheon!

All West students should have brought a slip of paper home explaining the Artsonia program. Each student will have an online portfolio of their work on Artsonia.com. Each handout has the students name and parent code to connect to their childs' gallery.


I will be posting a number of our art projects on Artsonia, which not only lets students share their Artwork with friends and relatives far away, but also offers us a wonderful way to earn funds for the art room through customized keepsakes. I am always happy to add artwork done at home to a student's gallery, so please don't hesitate to bring any of those special creations to me for publishing.
