Class of 2023,
With just six weeks left until you turn your tassels and officially become Dublin City Schools alumni, I wanted to reach out and let you know that the Communications Department is doing things a bit differently this year…we want to celebrate EACH and EVERY one of you with your own social media shoutout.
Therefore, if you’ll please complete this brief google form (and provide us with a few school appropriate photos), we will begin sharing them on the district’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
For example, mine would say:
Name: Ashley-Michelle Thublin
School: Dublin High School
How Long I’ve Been Part of DCS: Since Pre-K, I attended Hillcrest, Dublin Middle and now Dublin High School
Things I’ve Been Involved In: Auxiliary Team, Yearbook, Chess Club & Beta Club
Advice for Underclassmen: Everyone has different ways of managing their time. But if there’s one thing you should do to be successful in high school, it would be to have a clear idea of what you need to accomplish everyday.
Post Grad Plans: I’ll be attending New York University and majoring in Journalism.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to let me know!
Congratulations, and Go Irish! Also mark your calendars for the senior walk which is scheduled for May 19, 2023. More information will be forth coming.

We will continue to protect instructional time at all cost. We do not want to use instructional time dealing with behavior issues. As we announce daily please encourage your son/daughter to use their self regulation skills.
Attendance continues to be an area of focus. We ask that early dismissals and tardies be limited to the absolutely necessary. If for some reason your child is not going to be in school please notify the school. If your child is not in tier 1 of our attendance protocol they will be placed on an attendance recovery plan. Students on attendance recovery plans will be required to stay for evening school to recover days missed or make up tardies/early dismissals. Please review the attendance protocol attached below.
Health/Safety remains a primary focus. Weekly COVID-19 testing is ongoing. If you would like for your child to receive weekly onsite testing please request a form, complete, sign, and return it. Testing is just one of the many mitigation strategies we are using. Students are encouraged to wear a mask while in the building, to wash or sanitize their hands frequently, and to watch their social distancing. As we enter the cold and flu season we ask that you monitor your children closely and if they are sick please keep them at home.
Dress Code-(hoodies) students are not allowed to wear hoods or hoodies on their heads while in the building. After the 3rd infraction he/she will not be allowed to wear articles of clothing with hoods attached. Also please remember that tights are not permitted as stand alone pants.
Parents, as a reminder, if your phone number changes please notify the school with the updated information. Also remember students may use evening school hours to make up attendance. Six evening school hours can replace one absent day. Our school hours are from 7:30 a.m.-2:10 p.m. Our evening school hours are 2:30 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. Monday -Thursday. As a reminder feel free to contact the school at (478) 353-8400 with any questions or concerns.
