Important Messagefrom MuHSFebruary 2nd, 2024

Applemen Family,

I want to make you aware of a situation and ask for your continued support to reinforce our safety commitment to our Musselman High School students and staff.

Today, a student made a comment threatening the safety of our Applemen on Monday, Feb. 5th. Students came forward with the information. Administration immediately made contact with our local law enforcement and board of education. We investigated the situation with local law enforcement and identified the individual who made the comment. The threat was found to not be credible; however, Berkeley County Schools takes all threats serious and students will be disciplined accordingly.

Parents/caregivers, please review the importance of making good decisions and that actions such as this can and will result in serious consequences.

I want you to know that the safety and well-being of our students, staff and families are my priority. Out of an abundance of caution, Musselman High School will have additional law enforcement agencies on campus on Monday, Feb. 5th.

I want to thank those who stepped forward and shared information to assist the investigation.
