The Mustang Minute
October 13, 2023 - Issue 8
Troubling Times
Today during Mustang Block we took a moment to think about those families in Israel, Gaza and the Middle East that are suffering such hardship in the recent conflict. One of our teachers was kind enough to write the following message that we shared during Mustang Block. To all of our families with connections in that region, know we are thinking of you. If anyone has a child at CMS that has been adversely affected by the ongoing conflict please do not hesitate to reach out to our guidance counselors.

"Many people in our Norwood community have family, friends, or other connections to Israel, Gaza, and the Middle East. Others in our community have experienced similar events in their countries of origin or with family members who are in the military. News of what is happening can impact us all differently, based on our own experiences. Let's all stand for a moment of silence for the innocent people who have been impacted and to reflect on how to promote peace and safety for everyone, no matter their religion, nationality, or culture."
New Clubs!!!
New Club Alert!
Cartooning Club is a club for all students that love drawing and anime. It's located in 105 with Mr. Andrews. They meet Thursdays at 3:30pm (Day change!)
Homework Club is a drop in club after school Monday-Thursday and starts Monday, October 16th. It's located in the CMS library. In addition to teacher supervision, we have several NHS volunteers that will be on site each day to help.
Bus Behavior
We are asking that ALL parents please take a moment and talk to students about the expected behaviors on the bus:
- Remain in your seat, with your legs out of the aisle
- Sit for the entire ride
- No food or drink should be consumed on the bus
- Nothing should be thrown around or out of the bus
- Appropriate language should be used on the bus
We appreciate your support with this issue.
