BOT Update
Hi everyone, and welcome to the last week of term 3!
The Board met last week for a combined August/September meeting and we covered off quite a few things of note. Firstly, we have received the draft ERO report which was very positive. The full report will be available on our website in about four weeks time. But in the meantime, well done to Megan and all our teachers for their hard work preparing and sharing about our school. It’s a positive reflection on our whole Ngaere community!
We are looking to paint the school over the summer. Colours are always an important decision and we are keen for some input from the community. We plan to ask the kids early next term for their ideas so get your thinking caps on :-)
Normally, we like to organise a working bee before Pet Day to tidy the school up, but we know people are often busy and away over the holidays. If you do have some spare time though, we’d really appreciate any help you can offer. Please touch base with Alistair Swan and he’ll be able to find a job you can help with – thanks team!
Finally, please note the Board has agreed to a Teacher’s Only day on the 18 October. This is an excellent opportunity for our teachers to work with a fantastic external facilitator, starting to work on our localised curriculum. We appreciate this is still a busy time of year for our parents, especially so close to pet day. However, this was the only day the facilitator was available and it was too good an opportunity to miss.
We are all looking forward to Pet Day. Thanks so much to our wonderful PTA for all your hard work.
That’s all for this month. Have a wonderful holiday with your family and see you all at Pet Day!
