Board Members Sworn In

Board Members Linda Poole, Mike Pate and Amanda McGill Johnson, all re-elected to the Board in November, were sworn in during last night's Board of Education meeting. Below, Board Member Dave Anderson administers the oath of office.

Board Elects 2021 Officers

The Board of Education elected officers for 2021 during last night's meeting. Board Members may serve two consecutive years in the same position. Each officer was elected to the same position for the 2021 school year. Linda Poole will continue to serve as President. Dave Anderson remains the Vice President. Stacy Jolley will serve a second term as the Board Secretary, and Amanda McGill Johnson will serve a second term as the Board Treasurer.

Board Authorizes Bond Refunding, Anticipates Savings

The Board authorized refunding of 2010 series bonds. This anticipated refinancing is estimated to save the District approximately $400,000.

2020 Bond Projects Underway

District renovations covered by the 2020 bond are getting underway. The Board approved contracts for re-roofing projects at Millard West High School and Montclair and Neihardt Elementary Schools. The Board also approved the contract for the Wheeler Elementary heat pump replacement.
