A MESSAGE FROM MRS. CAUDILL
I don't know about you, I was not expecting a two day school week. But, as I have mentioned multiple times, Mother Nature does like to keep Michiganders on their toes (holding a shovel, wearing 87 layers). However, that did not stop us from having a great week at school!
Today we had Hooper and Coach Joe from the Detroit Pistons. It was sooo much fun! A huge thank you to the Amerman PTA for bringing this assembly to us. Coach Joe stressed the importance of school and that "School Counts First". Also, if they have a dream or aspiration they need to, "Go to be Great." Coach Joe also complemented our school as being one of the best schools he has been at this year!
Hooper got the kid's pumped up and they played games, danced and just had fun. While the assembly was for grades 2 -5 that does not mean the K/1 kids were left out! Hooper and Coach Joe made a special visit to each of the K/1 classrooms!
Stay Well,
Devon Caudill

FAMILY ART NIGHT
Painting without a Twist
We are excited to announce Amerman’s very first Family Art Night! Our Art teacher, Mrs. Rohrhoff, will lead families through a spring painting on canvas on February 15th beginning at 5:30 pm. This is a free event, sponsored by our PTA.
We only have 50 canvasses available and the signup will be first come, first served. Because of this, only current Amerman students and their parents will be able to participate (unless you want to do a family painting using one canvas.) You must complete the form to attend.
We are so thrilled to introduce this “painting without a twist” to our Amerman families. Thank you to Mrs. Rohrhoff for bringing this idea to our PTA and to our Art Night committee for putting this amazing event together!
PANTS NEEDED - BOYS AND GIRLS
It's that time of year when dry pants are needed several times a day. If you have time this weekend, please see if you have pants sizes 5 - 8 for both boys and girls that you are willing to donate to our clothing closet.
