Wisner-Pilger Local Scholarships for Seniors
Local scholarships that are managed by the school are now open and can be accessed through appcentri.com. Students have created their accounts and been given instructions on how to access scholarships as well as a class period in Government to get started with help from the counselor. Please ask your student for their login information or create a parent account to view scholarship applications. If you have any questions, please contact the school counseling office.
Local scholarship applications are due by 4:00 p.m. on April 1st.
AppCentri Parent Account
Parents can create an AppCentri account to view available scholarships. Click the button below to create your parent account. Once logged in, click on Scholarships on left hand side of the page to view available scholarships. If you have any questions regarding local scholarships or your AppCentri account, please reach out to the school counseling office.
Susan Buffet Financial Information- Extended Deadline
Due to FAFSA processing delays the second deadline for the Susan T. Buffett Scholarship application has been extended to April 17, 2024, by 5pm CST/4pm MST. All applicants who met the Feb. 1st deadline now have until April 17th to upload and submit their financial document to the financial page of their scholarship application.
Students can submit one of the following for their financial document until April 17th. The document must include their first and last name and a Student Aid Index (SAI) with a calculated/estimated number. Samples of each of the documents can be found here: https://buffettscholarships.org/fafsa.

- PDF of the confirmation email (subject: We’ve Received Your FAFSA Form).

Class Registration for 2024-2025
Pre-registration for classes for the 2024-2025 school year is underway! To get ready for registration night, students have been working on updating their personal learning plans and selecting classes. You can view and edit course choices by clicking on the Class Registration button in PowerSchool. If your student wishes to make changes to their course requests online, they can do so until May 1st.
Registration Night
Registration Night for current 8-10th graders will be held on Monday, March 18th in the high school cafeteria. Scheduling information, high school requirements, and other pertinent information will be reviewed.
Registration Night Schedule
- Current 8th graders @ 6:00
- Current 9th graders @ 6:45
- Current 10th graders @ 7:30
Registration for Other Grades
- Current 7th graders will be registering as a class during the school day.
- Current 11th graders will meet with Mrs. Reese individually by appointment during the month of February. Parents can view and modify course choices through PowerSchool following the directions below.
Viewing Class Registration on PowerSchool
Parents,
Once your child has chosen classes, you will be able to review their current course selections on PowerSchool by clicking the Class Registration button on the left hand side of the screen. I encourage students to review their classes with their parents and make changes if needed. Students and parents can also make changes during Registration Night. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mrs. Reese.
Scholarship Spotlight
The Louis and Abby Faye Dinklage Alumni Scholarship
The Louis and Abby Faye Dinklage Alumni Scholarship is now open. This scholarship is for graduates of Wisner-Pilger Jr/Sr High School and can be awarded up to four times. The scholarship is worth $1000, payable in January. Scholarship applications are due April 1st. If you have questions, please contact the School Counselor at 402-529-3249 or ereese@igators.org.

Upcoming March Events
Junior Career Planning Workshop
On Monday, March 4th and Tuesday, March 5th, the junior class will be attending a Career Planning workshop at Northeast Community College. Currently, juniors are completing assignments and assessments in their English class to prepare for the in-person workshop. These activities are designed to measure students’ personality traits, values, interests, and strengths.
During the workshop, advisors from Northeast will help students understand their assessment results and discover which careers might fit them best. The workshop also explores what education is needed for their career path and what they should be doing to prepare. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive college credit.
We will depart school at 8:15 a.m. and return around 3:45 p.m both days. Students will need to bring money for lunch each day.
Junior Campus Visits
Sophomore Campus Visit
On Wednesday March 27th, all sophomores will be visiting UNL and Southeast Community College. We will leave school at 7:30 in the morning and return around 4:30.
