Grab your vinyl spirit stickers and spirit ribbons, Thursdays before home games in the cafeteria!

Stickers sheets come with 7 vinyl stickers and are great additions to water bottles, folders, and notebooks!

La Vernia Intermediate offers several before school and after school clubs. Students have received information during campus announcements regarding signing up for clubs, where to find applications, and reminders to turn in applications. More clubs/UIL information will come out as it becomes available. We appreciate our teachers and staff volunteering their time to enrich our students!

Mrs. Creswell and Mrs. Coon’s 3rd graders playing a Place Value game called Trash, and a Magnetic Lab/Repelling Races.

Mrs. Ransleben and Mrs. Secrest’s 3rd grade classes discussing Author’s Purpose, doing a Sink or Float Lab, Magnetism Lab, Phonics, and Rounding practice.

Mrs. Soto’s and Mrs. Engelke’s students learning about the various purposes of an everyday object. They later applied those skills to learning about establishing a purpose for reading.

In Mrs. Morin’s Science class we classified different items by their physical properties. In math we started rounding by playing ROUNDO (rounding bingo).

Students in Mrs.Richardson class worked together on a team STEM challenge during enrichment. In science, students observed the change of state of matter during their ice cream lab.

Students from Mrs. Royal, Mrs. Reavis, and Mrs. Prater's classes engaged in activities for our unit on Physical Properties of Matter.

Please don't discard your CarRider Pro car tag! Your family tag will work next year for returning students or incoming third graders with siblings already attending LV Intermediate.

If you lose your initial family tag issued in 2022-2023, you will need to purchase an additional tag for $5 for the 2023-2024 school year.

Incoming third graders with no siblings at the Intermediate and "new to LV" students will receive their first car tag at no charge.

All PTO meetings are held at 8:15. Please join our fabulous group of volunteers who make a HUGE contribution to our campus. We look forward to another amazing year!

If you have questions, concerns, etc., regarding your child's class, we encourage you to contact the classroom teacher first to conference. If there are unresolved concerns, please contact administration or campus counselor. Thank you!

Campus Expectations

1. Attendance

1. Please come to school everyday!

2. If you are absent, please be sure to bring in a note the day you return to school.

3. Tardies - If you are tardy, your parent must walk you into the office and sign you in.

2. Discipline

1. Be respectful and polite around the school (discuss what that looks like).

2. Misbehavior will be noted on calendars - could result in dhall, Saturday dhall…

3. The bus is an extension of the classroom. The same rules students follow at school apply to the bus. Misbehavior on the bus can result in a bus referral.

4. The campus restrooms are also an extension of the classroom. Get in, do your business, flush, wash your hands, throw the paper towel in the trash, and exit. Misbehavior in the bathroom can result in a referral and a visit to the office.

3. Dress Code

1. Hair needs to be kept neat and groomed. No unnatural hair color (green, blue, striped, etc.).

2. Half-shirts, crop tops, spaghetti straps, strapless shirts, razor-back shirts are not allowed.

3. Shorts and skirts should not be shorter than mid-thigh.

4. Hats, caps, or ski caps are not allowed to be worn (except with approval for special events).

4. School Clubs

1. Be on the lookout for information about school clubs on campus.

2. Garden club, Scrabble club, Spanish club, Ukulele club, GOOGLE club, art club, UIL, etc…

Campus contact information along with dates, district calendar, parent portal, transportation updates, lunch menus and other important documents can be found on our district website: https://www.lvisd.org/. We also encourage you to join our campus Facebook page (La Vernia Intermediate School and La Vernia Intermediate PTO) and Remind (text @lvinter to 81010) for quick reminders and updates. A bi-monthly campus newsletter will be sent out via email which will include upcoming events and campus highlights. Please make sure your email address is up-to-date in our records. Your child’s homeroom teacher will also provide you with specific information regarding classroom and teacher communication. Parent portal access is a great tool to help you monitor your child’s grades and attendance. Once again, thank you for your partnership as we take on another great school year together!

Assessments have begun for students to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the TEKS presented in class. Since these assessments are generally taken online, the way parents review the tests have changed. Please review the information below to learn how to access your child's assessments in Eduphoria.
