La ola del lago Media Center

Hello! I am excited to be your media specialist this year. I have been with the district for about 17 years and have been a teacher for about 25! I have three boys, two pet poodles and live right here in Prior Lake. In fact, I am walking distance from our new school. It is ironic because when I first began teaching I was jealous of a co- worker that walked to school each day. I do not know if I will have the energy to walk to and from school now, at the start of the year, but that is a goal of mine!

I have bad news and good news. Unfortunately, our library books are not ready to be checked out yet. IT has to visit and connect our library database to the books in the media center. We also have a book storage site that I will be working on in the near future after our La ola del lago library is up and running. These books will be added to our media center gradually - it is a BIG project (so they are unavailable at this point). However, throughout the year you will see the collection on the shelves grow! So that is good news. More good news is that I am excited to introduce you to your new La ola del lago Media Center website! I will be using this site frequently with your students and I have designed it with you in mind too. Check it out once things settle down! If you want me to add a link to the site just let me know! I can not wait to meet your students! Please let Maureen and I know if you have any questions! And speaking of Maureen - THANK YOU for all you do! You have made this transition go smoothly.
