Unified Bocce
Unified Bocce finished their regular season last week with a overall record of 3-1. One team finished with an individual record of 6-1 while the other went 5-2. Very impressive for our first season! We will know by the end of this week if either team advances to the Montgomery County Championship on February 21.
The top two teams from Lower Montgomery County will compete against the top two teams from Upper Montgomery County. This Montgomery County Championship will take place at Pottsgrove on February 21. Teams advancing will go to Regionals on March 7 at Glen Mills. From the Regional match, teams can qualify for States in Hershey.
Boys Swimming
The boys swim team finished up their dual meet season last week with a loss against Owen J Roberts. Despite their loss, they had a great last meet of the season with more fast times. Overall, the boys finished 3rd in the PAC League.
Last Tuesday's meet was also our senior night. We honored our only male senior, Christopher Groff. Chris has had a spectacular four-year career swimming for the Warriors, and we look forward to seeing what the post season has in store for him. Congratulations Christopher!
The season is not over yet for the boys' swim team. We will spend the next week preparing for our final championship meet as a team. The boys are gearing up and ready to swim their best races this coming Saturday at Upper Merion HS.
Swimmer of the Week:

Girls Swimming
Last week the Methacton girls swam against Owen J Roberts on Tuesday. It was a tough loss to a very competitive team. It was our senior meet where we honored 3 graduating senior girls - Sophia Smith, Haidyn DiPaolo, and Amanda Tsai. All are team captains for our 2022-23 season.
In the pool, Senior Sophia Smith swam her lifetime best in 100 fly. Freshman Ava Sgarra further solidified her district consideration time in the 500 free.
We end the season for most of the team this Friday night at our PAC championships. Out of a team of 16 girls, 13 girls have qualified for PAC times in at least one event. We're look forward to some fast swims by all this coming Friday. This is what they have prepared for all season.

Cheerleading
Another busy week for the Warriors! As the regular basketball season wrapped up, the team cheered the Warriors on in an exciting boys' game against Spring-Ford and a special Senior Night game against Boyertown for the girls' team. The week culminated in a fantastic performance for the team at the PAC Cheerleading Championships in our home gym. The Warrior Cheerleaders enjoyed hosting their PAC friends and feeling the love from their family, friends and MHS community. 2nd place in the PAC for 2023!
We have two standout athletes this week. First, sophomore Anna Harding really stepped up for the team this week. Anna took the mat for an injured teammate and ROCKED the mat! She performed with poise, strength and amazing presence on the floor. We are very grateful for Anna's dedication and determination to be her very best for the team!
Next, we have freshman Marin Wells. Marin suffered a minor injury last week, but was determined not to let her team down for the PAC competition. Thanks to help from our AT Zach, and a lot of determination Marin pushed through and wowed the crowd on the floor this weekend. Her dedication to her team, strength and confidence on the mat shined through- we are so proud of her!
