PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
As the spring season is upon us, I wanted to remind everyone about the importance of dressing comfortably and appropriately for the changing weather. Our little ones need to be comfortable and cool in order to enjoy their school day to the fullest! So, let's make sure that your child comes to school in clothing that is comfortable, breathable, and school appropriate. Layers are always a bonus, as the weather can change quickly! Oh, and don't forget about proper footwear for outdoor activities. Sneakers or closed-toe shoes are highly recommended for safety reasons.
But wait, there's more exciting news to share! This summer, we will be building a brand new preschool and kindergarten playground on our school grounds. We know how much our students love to play and we're excited to provide them with even more opportunities for outdoor fun and physical activity.
Our new playground will feature a variety of equipment, including climbing structures, sensory equipment, shade, natural features, and more. We can't wait to see our students running, jumping, and playing on it soon! We will keep you updated on the progress of the playground construction and look forward to sharing more information with you in the coming weeks.
As always, thank you for your continued support of our school and our students. Let's have a fantastic weekend!
Warmly,
Amanda
P.S. - I look forward to seeing you at the Laps for Leadership Kickoff tomorrow after school in the Bus Loop!

DEAN OF STUDENTS' MESSAGE
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
We are thrilled to announce the start of our school's annual fundraiser, Laps for Leadership! We invite you to join us tomorrow after school in the Bus Loop to get registered on the Get Movin' Fund Hub, where you can start raising funds for our school. Plus, we'll have some free popcorn and a Kona Ice Fundraiser to kick off the event!
Our goal this year is to raise $23,000 in 2023, and we're counting on your help to reach this goal. The funds raised will go directly toward enhancing the learning experience and growth opportunities for our students here at Eagle Crest. We encourage all families to participate and support this worthy cause. Let's work together to make this year's Laps for Leadership a success!
Also, we want to remind you that tomorrow is Class Picture Day, so make sure your child comes to school looking their best. And, the deadline to order Yearbooks is fast approaching, so please see the information below on how to order.
Thank you for your support, and we look forward to seeing you at the kickoff tomorrow!

2023-2024 CLASS PLACEMENT
At Eagle Crest, we very much value the support and partnership from families as we work together to provide a thoughtful and well-rounded education in every classroom, every day. When creating classes, staff take into account the academic, social, and behavioral strengths and needs of each student as well as creating balanced classroom communities. We would like to ask families for your thoughts related to your child's strengths and needs in regards to their learning as we determine class placements for next school year. We welcome your insight and knowledge as we consider optimal placement. Like last year, his year, we will be collecting family input on the optional survey linked below. This survey will remain open until April 21st.

If you are unable to attend Project Launch, here are some other summer learning opportunities at the Innovation Center.
LUNCH MENU & COLOR DAY SCHEDULE
Our Music, PE, and Art classes are on a 3 day rotation. Every school day is either a Red, Gold, or Purple day. These colors are shared on our school lunch menu to help families plan ahead for necessary supplies like sneakers for PE.
ADD MONEY TO YOUR CHILD'S SCHOOL BREAKFAST & LUNCH ACCOUNT
MySchoolBucks is the website you want to access in order to add funds to your child’s account for purchasing breakfast, lunch, or milk at school. This system will send you reminders and can manage the account of multiple students. Money can also be sent to school by check or cash. Please label any checks or cash with the students first name, last name, and teacher.
If you haven’t yet, you can apply for Free & Reduced meals to see if your family qualifies for free meals. Applying for Free & Reduced lunch will help manage fees (like iPad Insurance or sports) and also helps our school receive additional funds and services. We encourage all families to complete the application.
