Stakeholder Edition: October 22, 2023

Principal Principles
Quest for Continuous Improvement
Each fall, schools across the state must submit a Continuous Improvement Plan. The plan is based on school-level data, input from stakeholders via surveys, and current trends in education. A committee of stakeholders (parents, students, teachers, and administrators) is tasked with creating SMART goals and a plan of action, which will be carried out throughout the year. This year's plan consists of goals related to the impact of instruction, a healthy culture, and high expectations.
The committee laid out a plan to improve ACT scores for juniors, develop core values for the school, and raise the graduation rate. Goal progress will be monitored throughout the year. If you want to know more about the DHS Continuous Improvement Plan, please contact Mrs. Gantt.
