Jensen feels a weight off his shoulders after winning LCS with C9: ‘It felt like something I owed them’
For nearly half a decade, Cloud9’s mid laner Jensen struggled to win an LCS trophy. Despite being touted as one of the best the North American region had to offer, complete with multiple League of Legends World 메이저토토 Championship appearances, Jensen was only able to win a trophy upon changing teams.
Yet for the 2022 Summer Split, Jensen returned to the team he had spent a majority of his pro career with, hoping to finally achieve what had eluded him for so long.
And today, in Chicago in front of thousands of League faithful, he finally accomplished that feat, acknowledging how thankful he is to be given another opportunity to do so.
“It felt like something I owed to C9,” Jensen told 메이저놀이터. “In a way, it’s very comforting knowing that everything actually turned out the way it did. I’m glad that Jack [Etienne] wanted to take a chance on me again and everything worked out the way it did. It was definitely something I was longing for a long time.”
This past Spring, Jensen was without a League team entirely.
After leaving Team Liquid, the mid laner did not have a roster to call his own despite his LCS tenure. During that time, though, Jensen’s passion for League remained strong, only increasing his desire to return to pro play as soon as he could.
“At the beginning, I was very appreciative of the break, but then I realized, having that much time off, I didn’t actually know what to do—being 메이저놀이터추천 as addicted to League as I am,” Jensen said.
“I made it to Worlds every single year, and normally we don’t have a very long off-season. For sure the break was nice, but I kinda wanted to play at the same time.”
Jensen, alongside his fellow teammates on C9, emerged victorious in today’s LCS Championship finals against 100 Thieves in the United Center. C9 was not only the only team in the playoffs to sweep an opposing team, but this victory cemented this roster as the lowest seed entering a playoff bracket to win the entire tournament.
Part of C9’s success stemmed from Jensen’s willingness to switch off his patented LeBlanc pick from game one, instead playing the more supportive Zilean, aiming to increase the movement and survivability of his ADC, Berserker.
Though the two have only been playing on the same team for a few months, Jensen appeared more than willing to hand the spotlight over to Berserker, allowing him to become one of the biggest factors in their victory.
“I think one of my strengths as a player is that I’m very flexible when it comes to how to play the game,” Jensen said. “I think a lot of players have a mental block when they think of Zilean in playoffs. Picking it early in the series, I get into their heads a little bit.”
C9, 100T, and Evil Geniuses will be the representatives of the LCS at this year’s League World Championship, of which Jensen holds the title for most consecutive appearances of an LCS player.
However, today’s Group Draw Show resulted in C9 learning they’ll to face the LCK’s T1 and LPL’s EDward Gaming to start their Worlds run. Notably, the three mid of these teams—Jensen, Faker, and Scout, respectively—competed against each other in the same group on the same teams at Worlds 2017 메이저토토사이트
Though the players around him may be different this time, Jensen is confident C9’s new aggressive playstyle will work in their favor at this year’s Worlds.
“A trend in the past was that NA was too passive at Worlds,” Jensen said.
“[Being aggressive] makes playing the game a lot more fun, and a lot more bloody as well. I don’t think this is something that the Asian teams really think of when they think of LCS, so I think it’s going to be a fun showing—whether it’s good or bad.”
The 2022 League World Championship will begin on Sept. 29 with the Play-Ins stage in Mexico City, México, featuring the LCS third seed, Evil Geniuses.
The best ADC champions in League of Legends
Some champions in League of Legends are just flat-out stronger than others.
For the marksmen and markswomen of League, there are several types of champions to play. There are attack-speed-focused hyper carries like Jinx and Tristana, and then there are the face-melting high early damage carries like 안전놀이터 Draven and Jhin. Fortunately for players, the ADC meta in Patch 12.17 allows players to choose whichever one suits their tastes because all the marksmen champions are mostly viable right now.
This list of top-tier champions can change 안전놀이터추천 depending on a number of factors. Sometimes the meta shifts 토토사이트 for no apparent reason other than players’ tastes, but usually there’s some kind of balance adjustment behind those changes. It can be difficult to keep up on the flavor-of-the-month champs, so let us do that for you.
Here are our top five ADCs for League’s Patch 12.17.
Miss Fortune
Pros
Powerful ultimate
Fantastic scaling
Huge wombo combo potential with other champions
Cons
Easy to catch
Tough laning phase
Despite Riot Games trying to stabilize the meta as much as it can in the last several patches, the devs have still managed to ship some major changes to champions. In Patch 12.17, Miss Fortune received major updates to her abilities, bringing her back to the AD carry meta.
Item build
Miss Fortune’s abilities got buffed, but their mechanics didn’t change, so the basics of her gameplay stayed the same. Therefore, your best option as the main rune is still Press the Attack. With that under your belt, you can deal additional damage every three hits. Looking at Miss Fortune’s kit, you will aim to continuously rain bullets on your enemies, both from basic attacks and your abilities.
Next in line, you should pick runes that aid you in dealing with some of Miss Fortune’s main issues, like high demand for mana, sustain problems, etc. When it comes to the former, Presence of Mind is a superb pick since it increases your mana regeneration throughout the game. It also makes you restore 15 percent of your maximum mana with every takedown. Legend: Bloodline enhances your lifesteal, allowing you to stay alive a little longer, while Coup de Grace is a standard pick-up for AD carries since it makes you deal more damage to low-on-health enemies, like tanks and bruisers that will be coming after you.
As for the filler runes, it’s wise to grab some that will boost Miss Fortune’s utility early on, so don’t hesitate to go for Magical Footwear and Biscuit Delivery.
Ability priority
One ability priority of Miss Fortune stands out above the others. It’s R>Q>W>E. Your Double Up (Q) will ease clearing minions in the laning phase while also being a damaging tool, allowing you to trade even in the game’s first minutes. After, it’s best to pick maximize Strut (W) instead of Make it Rain (E) since Make it Rain (E) doesn’t deal much damage and only serves as a slowing mechanic. Strut (W) increases your movement and attack speed.
Game plan
The game plan for Miss Fortune is all but complex. During the laning phase, you shouldn’t get into many skirmishes unless you are in a favorable duo matchup. Unfortunately, due to Miss Fortune’s low damage and range early, you’ll hardly ever find a two-vs-two scenario that you will win on paper.
Nevertheless, that’s not a real problem for Miss Fortune. Focus on farming, getting to your mythic item, and then completing one or two legendary items. Once you complete that task, you will hit your power spike and start dealing massive damage.
The key to Miss Fortune’s gameplay lies in her ultimate usage. You always want to hit as many enemies as you can with it, though it is easier said than done on its own. Enemies can easily flee your ultimate’s range, so you need to follow your squad’s engages and AoE crowd control spells so you can combo them with your Bullet Time. If you don’t have any champs like that, you can use the spell to navigate teamfights by creating space for your team. In that instance, simply use the ability in clutch points on the map so that the enemy team needs to split.
The items you should be looking for while playing Miss Fortune are Kraken Slayer, which is undoubtedly the best mythic you can get. After you grab it, finish The Collector and Berserker’s Greaves. Later on, you can buy Infinity Edge, Serylda’s Grudge, Guardian Angel, Bloodthirster, or Lord Dominik’s Regards, depending on your game state.
Draven
Pros
Enormous damage
Global ultimate
Cons
Not mobile
Easy to shut down
Welcome to the League of Draven. The state of the bot lane is becoming reminiscent of the name of Draven’s passive with how popular he’s been lately. And his popularity didn’t come out of nowhere. With the recent shifts in the meta, he’s one of the best marksmen in the game today.
Item build
Draven is one of those champs that hasn’t been heavily changed throughout the years. And since his release in 2012, the Glorious Executioner has been auto attack dependent. In the end, his basics with activated Spinning Axe can cut through the toughest bruisers and tanks. Therefore, to influence his basic attacks, it’s wise to choose Lethal Tempo from the Precision tree, which increases the champion’s attack speed and enhances his attack range while at max stacks.
As an AD carry, some excessive healing can be nice, so having Triumph under your belt is always helpful. This rune allows you to restore 10 percent of your missing health when eliminating an enemy. Furthermore, it makes sense to choose Legend: Bloodline and Last Stand. As an immobile, squishy carry, you will be targeted a lot by the enemy team, so it’s wise to have some lifesteal and extra damage while low on health, which you will have with these two runes.
In the second tree, contrary to lots of other ADCs, players shouldn’t be looking for extra resources and utility from the Inspiration tree. Eyeball Collection and Treasure Hunter from Domination suit Draven due to his snowball potential.
Ability priority
On Draven, there’s really only one sensible way to prioritize your abilities: R>Q>W>E. Your Spinning Axe (Q) is your main tool to deal damage, clear waves, and handle skirmishes that come both in the early and mid game. Afterward, there’s really no point in lowering the cooldown of Stand Aside (E), which is just a useful tool to run away. So once you reach level nine and can start maximizing your second ability (that isn’t your ultimate), pick Blood Rush (W), which gives Draven movement and attack speed.
Game plan
As Draven, you have enormous trading potential from level one. Therefore, if you’re in a favorable matchup, you shouldn’t hesitate to engage in two-vs-two duels, especially if your jungler comes down to lend you a hand. With Draven’s passive, which grants you stacks of Adoration with every Spinning Axe caught and minion killed, you want to exchange them for gold as fast as possible so that you can be ahead of the enemy marksman quickly.
But with every pro, there comes a con. Draven is an extremely powerful champion who can slice through enemy tanks as easily as he cuts through squishy opponents. The price for his massive damage is his low mobility and sustain. Despite having Blood Rush, which grants him additional movement speed for a bit, he doesn’t have any other defensive tools, making him easy prey for enemy assassins and fighters.
Therefore, you should always stand by your support or tank, who can delay enemies’ attacks and dives targeted at you. This way, you will be able to stay alive and have an impact on many late-game teamfights. Last but not least, don’t forget that you have a brilliant finisher in the form of your Whirling Death, but you can also use it as a poking device before a battle starts.
Sivir
Pros
Easy to play
Fantastic scaling
Great ultimate for the whole team
Cons
Weak early
Can get shut down easily
Low attack range
No one expected the latest mid-scope update to bring back Sivir in the way it did, but here we are. After receiving some buffs to her kit, the Battle Mistress is now one of the best AD carries in the game. Her laning phase is still troublesome, which may cause some players to hesitate about picking Sivir, but believe us, once you get the hang of her, it will be worth it.
Item build
Sivir relies on auto attacks, with one of her skills even making them ricochet off of enemies. Therefore, the best rune to pair with her is Lethal Tempo, which increases a champion’s attack speed with every basic hit. Furthermore, it will enhance your attack range at full stacks.
Down the line, we have some standard runes for marksmen in today’s meta. Despite relying on auto attacks, Sivir will still use her Q plenty of times throughout the game to clear waves faster and poke opponents. That, however, will be pretty mana-demanding, so it’s wise to pick Presence of Mind to have a bit more of that stat. Legend: Bloodline will help with Sivir’s life steal, something that she won’t be building through items, giving her a bit of extra survivability in the late game. Coup de Grace is going to help you with shredding through the enemies’ front line, which will try to hunt you down in every teamfight.
Like many AD carries, Sivir will struggle with utility early. Therefore, players should choose Biscuit Delivery and Magical Footwear to give themselves a hand, especially in the first minutes of the game.
Ability priority
Sivir has one proper ability priority: R>Q>W>E. As we said, she will struggle with the laning phase and wave clearing, with which Boomerang Blade (Q) should help a ton. Once it’s level five, it also has a small cooldown, becoming a nice poking tool. Down the line, players should aim to increase Sivir’s damage even more, so they will be putting points in Ricochet (W) instead of Spell Shield (E) first.
Game plan
Sivir’s game plan is plain and simple. In the early game, you won’t have many matchups that you win by default, and with a low attack range (500), you might find yourself often bullied out of the lane. So if your jungler doesn’t babysit your lane, try to focus on farming and collecting gold for the first 15 minutes of the game.
Last hitting minions and dodging the enemies’ skill shots might get boring quickly, but don’t worry, it will start to pick up once the game enters the mid game. By then, you should start to deal relatively high damage. In teamfights, your plan should be to hit the closest enemy to you since you don’t have high range and any escape mechanics.
Luckily for Sivir players, she has Spell Shield (E), which will often make a difference between life and death. Use it if you’re caught out of position or if the opponents’ front line is surging for you with heavy CC.
Seraphine
Pros
Great CC ultimate
Healing for the rest of the team
Annoying poke and high damage
Cons
Your team may lack AD damage
Easy to catch
Incredibly hard to play from behind
From time to time, mages make their way to the AD carry role. This is usually due to their ability to bully the opponents in the laning phase, and their great presence in late-game teamfights. Over the course of the last couple of patches, another mage has thrived in the bot lane: Seraphine.
Item build
Seraphine is all about spamming abilities, even more so because of her passive ability, which makes her cast every third spell twice. As a result, your goal throughout the game will be to annoy enemies with your Q and E while also healing allies whenever you can with your W. Summon Aery is a perfect major rune in terms of spamming skills since it adds a bit of damage to the damaging spells, and bolsters the protection you give to your allies.
Using your abilities continuously will naturally come with a huge mana price, so it’s wise to grab Manaflow Band as well, increasing your maximum mana and helping with its regeneration. The other two useful runes from the Sorcery tree are Transcendence and Gathering Storm, which lower your cooldowns and gift you adaptive damage.
Seraphine doesn’t really need utility early on from the Inspiration tree, so it’s smart to get even more mana regeneration by choosing Presence of Mind from the Precision tree. Coup de Grace might also be useful in certain situations by making you finish enemies faster.
Ability priority
Once you’re playing Seraphine, you want to increase your poke and main damaging spell first, then follow it by maximizing your defensive skill and your non-ultimate CC tool at the end. Therefore, your ability priority on Seraphine should be R>Q>W>E.
Game plan
The faster you start your snowball, the better, therefore you should try to get some early picks with the aid of your jungler if it’s possible. If there are games where your jungler is busy with other tasks, however, you might engage in two-versus-two combat. Although, remember about your dangerous early poke, which you should use before going all-in to have better chances of coming out victorious.
Seraphine’s major gameplay element lies in using her ultimate, which is a tremendous crowd-control tool when mastered. You can use it defensively or aggressively because it depends on the state of the game and your position. As always, with AoE abilities like that, your main goal is to stun as many opponents as possible, but catching the whole enemy team is seldom achievable. Therefore, aim the Encore at the enemy carries so that your team can kill them faster and tip the scale of a teamfight towards you.
Regarding the items, you ought to be picking standard ones for the AP-based mage. Liandry’s Anguish should be your mythic option. It would be best if it was followed by Archangel’s Staff, Zhonya’s Hourglass, Rylai’s Crystal Scepter, and Rabadon’s Deathcap.
Twitch
Pros
Unique AD carry assassin
Fantastic scaling
Can one-shot enemies in the late game
Cons
Needs time to master
High-risk champion
In season 12 of League of Legends, hypercarry marksmen that can single-handedly win the game have become extremely popular and are dominating the bot lane meta. Twitch has been one of the most prominent hypercarries for a few years now and he shines in this meta. His high-risk, high-reward gameplay, though, needs a bit of time to master and proper knowledge of the game.
Item build
As Twitch, you will rely on his powerful auto attacks, which will have increased range and damage once you use your strongest ability, your ultimate. Therefore, it’s in your best interest to increase Twitch’s potential with his basic attacks with a major rune like Lethal Tempo. With that under your belt, you will gain additional attack speed with every basic attack, and it can exceed by 2.5 once you reach full stacks. Then, your attack range will also rise a little.
Down the line, you should pick runes that solve some of Twitch’s problems and further increase his potential as the game goes on. When it comes to the former matter, Presence of Mind is a great pick since it influences Twitch’s mana pool, which will quickly run out in both the early and mid game. Legend: Alacrity and Coup de Grace allow you to gain more attack speed and shred through low-on-health enemies faster.
Now, it’s time to pick filler runes, and none fit quite as well as Treasure Hunter and Taste of Blood. The first one accelerates your snowball, allowing you to hit your power spike faster. Taste of Blood makes your attacks heal you when you target enemy champions, which can sometimes save your life in late-game teamfights 메이저놀이터추천
Ability priority
While playing Twitch, there is one proper ability priority order: R>E>Q>W. His Contaminate (E) is your second major and only source of damage other than your basic attacks. It plants Deadly Venom on every damaged enemy, which helps with clearing waves and skirmishing in the laning phase. Afterward, you should focus on putting points in Ambush (Q) since it allows you to sneak up on enemies, which is one of Twitch’s goals. Ultimately, it can also serve as an escape tool.
Game plan
The game plan on Twitch isn’t complicated by any means. The champion gets his power spike as the mid game reaches its end, so naturally, he will have a weak laning phase. Therefore, in the first minutes of every match, you should focus on collecting gold by clearing waves, unless you have a really favorable matchup or your jungler often comes to the bot lane. In the end, the quicker you start snowballing, the better.
Once Twitch starts becoming powerful in the later stages of the game, players will usually have two options, which depend on the state of the game and both compositions. If you’re ahead and you have masterful vision control, you may go hunting alone since it won’t be tough to one-shot squishy targets with your abilities.
If you’re losing and playing defensively, Twitch players should stay behind their tanks and focus on dealing damage from behind, most likely on bruisers and tanks coming your way. Luckily, with your runes and items, lowering your cooldowns shouldn’t be difficult.
And, in terms of items, there’s hardly a better option for a Mythic than Kraken Slayer. Besides that, you should always get Berserker’s Greaves and Blade of the Ruined King. Afterward, it’s best to boost your damage with choices like Infinity Edge, Runaan’s Hurricane, or Lord Dominik’s Regards, especially if the enemy team has beefy champs.
Odoamne finally wins an LEC title and 4 other standout moments from 2022 LEC Summer Split finals
The LEC finals is the peak of competitive League of Legends in Europe where the talented elite head to the big stage to test their team’s synergy, communication, and preparation in front of a breathtaking audience.
After a two-year break from stadiums and arenas due to COVID-19, LEC teams Fnatic, G2, and Rogue finally had an opportunity to bask in fan chants and energy in the Malmö Arena this past weekend. Since LEC casters and analysts are dedicated hosts who will stop at nothing to entertain a crowd, this year’s Summer Split finals swept everyone, both at home and in the arena, off their feet.
Not only did the LEC finals shine with the traditional opening ceremony and talented casters, but it also gave the audience an opportunity to once again experience the intense plays and outplays that simply can’t compare to watching on a screen. Other than that, the LEC finals were looking to breathe life into the live-viewing experience once again.
Without further ado, let’s jump into five of the best moments from the 2022 LEC Summer Split finals.
Rekkles and Broxah finally “settle their beef”
Ex-Fnatic players Rekkles and Broxah joined the caster desk for the LEC finals in the Malmö Arena. Although both professional players proved to be valuable to the caster desk by providing an almost academic insight into the draft phase, teamfight breakdowns, and general team strategies, they still had to finally “settle their beef.” As Sjokz was welcoming the fans, Rekkles and Broxah stepped onto the stage in a battle stance. Even though Sjokz tried to separate these professional League players, they quickly began their match of rock, paper, scissors. Broxah looked strong in the early game by winning two rounds in a row, but Rekkles reverse swept him with the power of rock.
Rogue show their teeth
Rogue joined the LEC back in 2019. From the beginning, Rogue have been often regarded as a lesser team struggling to keep up with the big boys in the region, even as they joined them at Worlds. Over the years, Rogue polished their by-the-book playstyle oriented toward safe plays and slow game closing. Even though this controlled and methodical approach to League propelled Rogue to new heights, the team still wasn’t seen as a serious contender.
But this weekend, Rogue finally showed their teeth to the haters by coming well-armed with champion oceans, team synergy, and the ability 토토사이트 to flex their picks. On top of that, Rogue showcased incredible patience, a calm, cool, and collected attitude, and, most importantly, that they are not yet another spineless by-the-book team. Rather, Rogue proved that they can cleanly dominate even the titans of the LEC like Fnatic and G2.
Carlos predicts G2 losing
G2 owner and CEO Carlos “ocelote” Rodriguez and 토토사이트추천 his team G2 have been known for being the jokers of the LEC who regularly kid around about themselves. This time around, Carlos didn’t miss his opportunity when he spoke with reporter Cecilia Ciocchetti, who was talking with the most loyal fans in Malmö. She asked Carlos who would win the finals and Carlos immediately answered “Rogue, 3-0.” Little did he know his prophecy would come true.
Trymbi shares why winning the LEC finals 메이저사이트 was so important
Trymbi joined Rogue in 2020. He quickly paved his way from the academy team to the LEC, where he showed he wasn’t just another rookie with his large champion pool and playmaking potential. In the 2022 LEC Summer Split finals, Trymbi pulled out the big guns with Soraka and Lulu picks that were an absolute asset to Rogue’s team comp with his peeling, warding, and teamfighting. Although winning a championship is normally a priceless moment that leaves many in tears, for Trymbi, winning this LEC title had even more meaning.
“It was very important week for me, because, on Wednesday, I heard that a person that I played with passed away, and he was the person that I played with during my first split in Ultraliga,” Trymbi said in a post-match interview. “And he was the person that kinda showed me how it is to make the team the best environment possible. It was the best team I’ve had when it came to the atmosphere. After his death, unfortunately, I realized I should try to be like him.”
Trymbi’s ex-teammate from Konektiv, who showed him how to make the team the best possible environment for everyone, had just died. Inspired by his ex-teammate from the Ultraliga, Trymbi promised himself to try to be more like him, especially when he came to Malmö.
Odoamne finally wins an LEC title
Odoamne kicked off his professional career by playing in the top lane for Absolute Legends in 2013, but he was never able to get his hands on that precious LEC trophy—until yesterday. After playing 16 long and eventful LEC splits, Odoamne and his team Rogue swept G2 in a 3-0 series. Since this was such an emotional moment for Odoamne, he couldn’t help but shed a tear or two after finally winning an LEC title. Even the die-hard G2 fans who were devastated after the defeat couldn’t help but feel happy for Odoamne 안전놀이터추천
Jungle champions, including Udyr, Hecarim, remain key focus for League devs in final patch before Worlds 2022
The 2022 League of Legends World Championship is just around the corner, and today, Riot Games revealed a preview of Patch 12.18, the patch the tournament will be played on.
This season, Riot has been implementing 메이저토토 changes at a gradual pace over the last few weeks as opposed to overhauling the game with one big Worlds patch. Since Patch 12.16, the League developers have been planning for the tournament. Patch 12.18 stands as the culmination of several months’ work of balancing changes.
In total, 10 League champions will be receiving direct 메이저놀이터 buffs and nerfs in the September patch, with two more receiving adjustments.
The two champions receiving adjustments, Udyr and Maokai, will both see their upcoming balance changes focus on different areas of their gameplay, with Maokai’s adjustments focusing on which position he plays on the Rift, and Udyr’s changes centered around his most optimal build.
In Patch 12.17, Maokai received a slew of updates to his jungling capabilities, mainly via the effectiveness of Sap Magic (P). The champion also earned changes to three other abilities: Bramble Smash (Q), Sapling Toss (E), and Nature’s Grasp (R).
It’s possible that “role adjustments” for Maokai in League Patch 12.18 could also mean a few more changes are coming his way in regard to his place in the jungle.
As for Udyr, it’s unknown (at this time) how his build will be adjusted in 12.18.
Currently, Udyr is at his strongest when building a combination of tank and damage items, with Sunfire Aegis and Demonic Embrace being the premier choices for Udyr players, according to League stats site op.gg.
Beyond Udyr and Maokai, three more junglers are set to be directly nerfed ahead of Worlds, the most at any position on the Rift. Hecarim, Nocturne, and Kayn’s Darkin form are all set to be brought down a notch ahead of the tournament 메이저토토사이트
Two AD carries, Kalista and Miss Fortune, will also be nerfed in the patch. Miss Fortune dominated last year’s world Championship with a presence of 81 percent, according to League stats site Leaguepedia. She should be 토토사이트 expected to hold less of an influence on the tournament this year with these upcoming nerfs in mind.
Worlds 2022 will be played on League Patch 12.18 across its entire duration, from the Play-In stage in October all the way to the grand finals in early November.
