Welcome to the 2023/24 school year!
It was an absolute pleasure to welcome your children to school today. After a busy summer of preparation, the hallways are once again buzzing with the excitement and anticipation of another school year.
Over the course of the next few weeks we will be introducing some of our wonderful new members of staff here at GLOBE. Many of you will have already met our front office staff, Caitlyn Clines and Ruth Cordova at Upper Campus, Carol Terrell at Lower Campus. Tamiko Walker-Jones is now our Admissions Coordinator, with Jackie Oxford joining the administration team as Registrar. We also have a new Assistant Head of School at Lower Campus (LC), Rochelle Lofstrand.
Below are a few photos from day one. We have lots of exciting things in store at GLOBE, and we look forward to a fantastic year of learning!

Students Nominated for High Honors
The prestigious Honors Performance Series Middle School Chorus will take place in New York at Carnegie Hall next summer. Selected Junior Finalists will rehearse and perform under virtuoso conductors and have the opportunity to meet other like-minded musicians from around the world. Please join us in congratulating the following students who have been nominated to audition for the 2024 Honors Performance Series.
Elementary After-school Chorus
4th and 5th grade students with a love of singing are invited to join the After-school Chorus. We rehearse choral music and perform it for an audience. The Elementary After-school Chorus will meet from 3:30pm to 4:30pm each Wednesday, beginning September 6.
If your 4th or 5th grade student is interested in joining us, please sign them up here.
GLOBE chorus teacher chaperones honor choir students in Sydney, Australia
GLOBE chorus teacher Miss Quarterman was selected amongst many educators to chaperone a group of honor choir students at the Honors Performance Series in Sydney, Australia. This was a wonderful opportunity to not only experience the grandeur of a choral performance at the Sydney Opera House, but also to experience the joy of music.
“I must say, although the draw to Sydney is places like the Sydney Opera House, it was the experience of witnessing the choral students give themselves completely to the music and perform with no reservation that will forever live near and dear to my heart. It is my goal to make sure that The GLOBE Academy Chorus students have an equally inspiring experience.”
Miss Quarterman is looking forward to fostering a learning environment where GLOBE vocalists reach their full musical potential.

The Annual Fund 2023-2024 Challenge is here!
Every year, each classroom competes to see who will reach 100% participation first in the Annual Fund Challenge. The suggested donation is $400 per student, however, gifts of any amount count and help us reach our goal of $150,000. The class at each campus with the highest participation rate by September 1, 2023 wins a popsicle party and a surprise for each student. Donate here.
Thank you to all who have donated thus far. We have raised 15% of our goal!
