This Week: Concert, Halloween, and No School on Friday

Berryton Families,


A Few things to share in this short but packed week:


  • Conferences- Thank you so much for all of you that came and spent time discussing the growth of you student. You are appreciated! If you missed a conference don't hesitate to send the teacher an email to reschedule in the near future.


  • Concert- Today at 2:30 we will have the dress rehearsal for our 3rd and 4th Grade Music Program, and tomorrow night at 7 our students will perform on the big stage at Shawnee Heights High School auditorium. Students have worked really hard on their performance- it is sure to be spooktacular!


  • Halloween- We will begin the festivities on Thursday morning with the parade at 9:20. Students will begin the route out the Far East doors, and walk along the sidewalk and head to the bus circle. Sixth grade will lead the way. Please note in the attachment below that per our handbook no adults may be in costume for safety purposes. I can't wait to begin the festivities!

Welcome Tori Simpson!

Mrs. Simpson is our new Social Worker at Berryton Elementary School and we are thrilled to have her join our staff. She is a Shawnee Heights graduate and will serve BES and SHES.

Take a Book/Leave a Book

Thanks to our local Girl Scouts we have a Little Free Library right outside of our front doors. If you are looking to get rid of some books this is a great place to bring them. Likewise, if your student is needing a book feel free to take one.

Thank You Families!

Thanks to the numerous families that provided home cooked goodies for our staff during Parent Teacher Conferences. The food was delish and nourished our staff during these long days.

Breakfast and Lunch Menu

Just a reminder that students can get a sandwich instead of the hot lunch option every day. Listed below is the sandwich types for each weekday:



  • Monday and Friday- PB and J Whole Wheat Uncrustable
  • Tuesday- Turkey
  • Wednesday- Ham
  • Thursday- Bologna

About Me

As an elementary principal I enjoy working collaboratively with staff members to support student learning. I am passionate about continuing to learn professionally, and building relationships with staff and students at Berryton Elementary. When I'm not serving at Berryton Elementary I am usually with my husband and two sons. We can be found at sporting events, cheering on Kansas State University, or just enjoying a movie at home.
