Transportation
Bus Stops - All CCPS schools have sent bus stop information home to CCPS families for the 2023-2024 school year. If you did not receive bus stop information and you want your child/children to be transported by CCPS, please contact your school to request a stop.
WheresTheBus (Parent App) - This app utilizes GPS technology on our school buses to provide secure access for parents to know when their child’s bus will arrive at the bus stop right from their phone or computer. As the school year approaches, please sign up for the WheresTheBus parent app. Click here to learn more.
School Supplies
*High School supplies are dependent upon individual classes and any additional supplies needed will be communicated to students.*
PowerSchool Parent Portal Password Changes
The PowerSchool Parent Portal and App will re-open on the first day of school, September 5. Starting this year, parents will be required to change their account password when first logging in for the school year. To do so, parents must visit the PowerSchool Parent Portal login page (https://cecilcountysis.powerschool.com/public/) and log in using their current account credentials. If the user is unsure of those credentials, a Forgot Username and Forgot Password link is available to complete the initial login process. Upon logging in, they will be sent to the password reset page to complete the password change process. Passwords must be at least 12 characters in length and must contain at least 1 uppercase letter, 1 lowercase letter, 1 special character, and 1 numeric character.
App users must complete the process using the online portal and after successfully changing their password, users can log into the app to resume using this tool.

New High School Cell Phone Use Policy
Personal electronic devices have become woven into all parts of our lives. According to a recent study, nearly 95% of teens carry or wear some type of personal electronic device (Gitnux, 2023). These devices could include cell phones, tablets, or smartwatches. While there are benefits to students using these devices as learning tools, these devices also carry concerns about the disruptions that they create to our learning environments.
As a result of the prevalence of these devices in our schools, CCPS has updated the expectations for our high school students which requires them to be off during class time. Expectations for middle school and elementary school students remain the same. Last year, these updated expectations were piloted in two of our high schools with great success. Both students and teachers felt that the new expectations allowed more productivity, focus, and learning to occur.
The CCPS Student Rights and Responsibilities Handbook outlines the use of these electronic devices, the acceptable settings for use, defines personal use, and outlines the consequences if these expectations are not followed. HERE is a link to this handbook.
