ALL STATE!!
All State All Three Years of Middle School
Congratulations to Celina Park who was named to the Georgia All State Orchestra for the 3rd consecutive year.
In addition, Caleb Mani (7th grade cello) was named as an alternate.
These students will represent Lanier Middle School at the All-State event March 3-5 in Athens, Georgia. Congratulations to each of you on all your hard work!
Zainab Sesay (8th grade)
has been selected for the 2022 Georgia All-State Chorus. This entailed a 2-round audition process, and only a few hundred 7th and 8th graders across the entire state of Georgia were selected. This is the highest honor a middle school Chorus student can achieve. Congratulations Zainab!
Regular Season Finale
The Longhorn Basketball Teams Conclude their Regular Season with a trip to Lilburn Middle School.
Report Cards are on Their Way
If you have not already received your child's printed Report Card you should receive it soon. GCPS began mailing Report Cards for Semester 1 home on Tuesday, January 18th. Grades and Transcripts are available in both the Studnet Vue and Parent Vue via the portal in the Documents section.
School Science Fair
Students submitted projects digitally and are being judged this week by science teachers. The top 20 projects will move on to the Gwinnett Regional Science and Engineering Fair in February.

Robotics Competition
The Lanier Middle School VEX-IQ Robotics Team will be competing on Saturday, January, 22nd at Otwell Middle School.

Scoliosis Screening for 6th & 8th Grades
Screening for 6th and 8th graders only March 8th. Parents should complete and return the form being sent home on Monday with students. You can access the form here as well.

Digital Learning Day #4
Tuesday, January 25th will be the 4th of 6 scheduled Digital Learning Days. Students will access asynchronous lessons from their eCLASS pages from home. Students will return to the school building on Wednesday, January 26th.

Georgia Dual Enrollment Program
While the Dual Enrollment program begins with those students entering the 10th grade, it is important to be familiar with the program as students begin planning their coursework entering High School.
