Second Grade Music Concert

Our Second Grade Music Concert will be Tuesday, May 9th at 2:00pm. Please arrive no earlier than 1:40, as there is a First Grade Concert at 1:00pm. The concert will last approximately 30 minutes. Our class will be in the middle section of the risers.

Families are invited back to the classroom following the concert (2:30 - 3:00). Second graders will share some of their latest amazing work! We can't wait to see you!

Fastbridge Testing

Our final Fastbridge testing will take place next week. We will take the reading test on Monday, May 8th and the math test on Wednesday, May 10th.

ABC Countdown to Summer

We will be counting down to the end of the year with an ABC Countdown to Summer! Be sure to check the calendar daily to follow along with the fun!

Reading

We have been practicing all of our reading skills this week in preparation for our reading Fastbridge test.

We chose one of our favorite books and started writing a nomination letter stating why we think the book deserves an award.

Math

We finished up our unit on data and graphs. We took our Unit 11 test on Thursday. We are starting our final unit - Geometric Shapes and Equal shares.

Science

We finished up our Plant unit and took our unit test. We will switch to Social Studies next week.

We finished up Unit 13 and took the unit test today. We will start Unit 14 next week (vowel teams ou and ow)

Social Skills

We practiced being fair on the playground.

Take Home Folders

Please be sure to check take home folders nightly for important papers. Students should be reading 20 minutes nightly.
