Attached are the weather guidelines that we follow for outdoor recess. There may be a few of your students with asthma or other health issues that have more restrictions. We need a yearly note for temperature restrictions. Let me know if you have any questions.

An exclusion has been set for September 16, 2019! Your student will not be able to attend school if he/she does not have up-to-date immunizations on file at school before that date. Letters were sent home with students last week. Please contact your doctor or the health department as soon as possible. For any questions, call the clinic at 317-532-3105.

Medication

This applies to all over-the-counter and prescription medicines (cough drops, lotions, Tylenol, Advil, cough medicines, etc.)--All medication must be transported to and from school by a parent or other designated adult. Absolutely no medication is to come to school in students’ backpacks or lunch boxes! When your child needs to take medication at school, you need to bring his/her own supply in the original bottle to school. Once at school, the parent/guardian will need to complete a permission form to allow us to dispense the medication at school.

In keeping with the Warren Township policy, any medicine that comes to school must remain at school until picked up by a parent or other designated adult. NO MEDICATION WILL BE SENT HOME ON THE BUS.

We invite our grandparents to join us for a sweet treat and school visit on Thursday, September 5th at 2:30pm. Students will need a permission slip to stay after with their guest(s). Permission slips will go home next week. All students and guests will be dismissed by 3:30pm. Students will not be allowed to stay without a permission slip - NO EXCEPTIONS.

All grandparents are welcome! We will provide the goodies and fun!

A note went home car riders this week that mapped out arrival and departure procedures for car riders. Please note that in the mornings you and your student must be in line and unloaded by 8:03 am at door #15. The door will lock automatically at 8:03 am and you will then need to bring your student to the front office for drop off. Any students dropped off after 8:05 am are considered tardy.

Please remember that your student needs to be at their designated bus stop 10 minutes before the expected pick up time. This information is also on page 13 of the student handbook you received when you registered your student. Also as a courtesy please allow 10 minutes after your designated pick up time for the bus to come. Road closures, traffic and weather can affect route times.

10 minutes before and ten minutes after is standard Warren Township procedure.

Kindergarten students MUST be received by an adult at drop off in the afternoon. Any KG student that does not have an adult waiting for them will be transported to Creston by the bus driver. You may pick up your student there.
