Dear IG Families:
Greetings after another busy week of learning at Ivan Green. We were able to get outside between rain drops for a couple of the days, which is always helpful!
For all of our Facebook users, our PTA is asking you to join our PTA Facebook group. This is another great way to keep up to date with school and PTA related events. You can find the group on Facebook as "East Irondequoit Ivan Green PTA."
Our school is at the very beginning of the next phase of our capital improvement project. We will begin some work as soon as February break (next week). Doing some work over the school breaks will promise us a completed project for the start of school in September 2023. Two walls of four different classrooms are going to be addressed in this very first phase. You can get all the specifics by watching the video below or by clicking here. In the video, I forgot to mention the arrival of a dumpster, some portable bathrooms, and a storage unit. These will remain on the premises throughout the project (all summer).
Finally, our hearts are with our Turkish and Serian community members who are mourning the devastation of their homelands. We are hopeful that you are able to make contact with your families and friends to be assured they are okay. If your Ivan Green student is experiencing some upsetting feelings related to this tragedy, please let his/her classroom teacher know. He or she can direct you to some support.
