Ft. Zumwalt Libraries: What We Do!
First Semester: December 2018
Happy Holidays!
Wrapping Up the First Semester . . .
As we conclude the first semester of the 2018-2019 school year, the FZ librarians would like to share a few highlights from recent months! As we look forward to 2019, we would also like to promote some ways we can help support you and your students! Stepping into a school library today looks completely different now than it did years ago. We are constantly adapting to meet the needs of our students to help prepare them for the future. When you visit a school library today, you could see any variety of learning experiences. From Breakout Edu activities to STEM challenges, to research and digital creation, to reading in cozy nooks and green screen video projects, one thing is certain . . . school libraries today are not the "shhh zones" of the past! We welcome opportunities to collaborate, teach information and media literacy skills, curate digital and print resources for a project, enhance your students' reading lives, facilitate opportunities for diverse and/or global connections and perspectives, and so much more! We look forward to continuing our work together in the coming year, and, hopefully, establishing new partnerships. Best wishes for a joyous holiday season and a happy 2019!
Sincerely,
Julie Jamieson
