No School from December 20th - January 7th for Winter Break!

2nd Semester begins Monday, January 10th!

Community Families –

We are almost finished with the first half of the school year. Before officially saying good-bye to 2021, we just want to reflect on what we, as a community, were able to accomplish so far this school year.

After not having Parade of Masks the past 2 years, we were able to successfully bring it back this year, in the midst of Covid. Our kindergarteners and first graders got to experience POM for the first time and our fifth graders were able to have one more memory of this special event. Although POM was a little different from what we’ve done in the past, what didn’t change was the fun and excitement shared by all the students!

When Toni asked for help with valet because administration was shorthanded, our community answered the call and we’ve now successfully managed valet with parent volunteers for 12 weeks! Thank you, Community! Your support means that we have more supervision in the upper yard in the mornings, while still being able to offer valet to our families!

The Read-a-Thon was a huge success! Originally, we set the Read-a-Thon fundraising goal at $45,000, knowing that’s what we had to raise but hoping for more and, wow, did we do more! We netted close to $65,000 and we couldn’t have done that without the help and support from teachers, staff, and our amazing families! Thank you everyone!

These are just a few of the things we were able to accomplish. There’s so much more. We are full of gratitude to all the staff, teachers, and families who make CMCS not just a school, but a real community! Please have a safe and wonderful winter break everyone. We look forward to seeing you in 2022!
