When it comes to professional development, look no further than the wealth of knowledge and expertise found within the membership of CASL. Our members present at national and state conferences, lead PD within their schools and districts, host Edcamps, and are adjunct professors.

If you have never participated in an unconference format, you are in for a treat! Come and spend a Saturday with your fellow members and gain the knowledge, skills, and strategies you need, while sharing your expertise with others. It's all about giving and receiving!

Since the essence of this event is collaboration, CASL encourages you to bring a staff member from your school or district as your guest. Add your guest to your registration, and he/she will receive the member rate. Build and strengthen collaborative relationships at this event.

9:00 AM - 9:55 AM Keynote - Makerspaces with Bill Derry, The Westport Library

10:00 AM - 10:55 AM Session 1

11:00 AM - 11:55 AM Session 2

Noon - 12:30 PM Scholastic Library Publishing presents ScienceFlix

12:30 PM - 1:00 PM Buffet lunch provided

1:10 PM -2:00 PM Session 3

2:05 PM - 2:30 PM Smackdown wrap-up, raffles, and certificates of attendance issued

• Sessions 1-3 will be determined by participants and may included topics such as: Teacher Evaluation, CCSS, Digital Literacy, Using Primary Source Documents, Twitter as a PLN, Exemplary lessons, Apps, AASL member benefits, and more.
• Be sure to arrive for breakfast in order to help build the unconference schedule.

Registration fee: $30 for CASL members. $75 for non-members which includes membership to CASL through June 2014. Note: CASL members may sign-up colleagues from their district on their registration form in order to receive the premium rate.
