State Bank Athlete of the Week nominations continue and congratulations to this week's winner from Fenton:
1. Dillon Hamilton: Boys' Soccer: Dillon had a successful week against Kearsley, Linden, & Powers. Not only did Dillon play every minute of each game, he scored the game winners for each game. Dillon scored on goal against Kearsley; the game winning goal with less than a minute left against Linden; and two goals against Powers, including the game winner also with less than a minute left. Dillon leads the team in goals for the season with 10.
2. Sophia Rossi: Girls' Golf: Sophia shot a 94 at the league tournament on Monday which was played at Springfield Oaks. She helped her team to a second place finish. This was our only contest of the week.

Positivity Project in Action - Own Your Stripes
On Friday, October 6th, FHS students wrote messages on "Tiger Striped" wrist bands for the elementary students. These wrist bands were delivered to the elementaries so the "little diggers" could be a part of the Homecoming events and to learn more about Fenton High School's Own Your Stripes campaign.
PSAT & NMSQT Registration - LAST CALL - Register by 10/17
ATTENTION ALL SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS! ATTENTION ALL SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS!his digital test is for students who are interested in gaining additional practice for the SAT exam. By taking this exam, students who are in 11th grade could potentially qualify for National Merit Scholarships. The test date is October 24 at 7:45am -11:15am at FHS. The cost of the test is $18 and can be paid for through efunds or check/cash in the counseling office. The deadline to register is October 17, 2023. To register for the test complete this form:

As promised at Senior Parent Night and in the Senior Class Meeting, here is a list of college application "waiver codes" that will save you money when applying to colleges (see Career & College Readiness newsletter below).
Michigan Assured Admission Pact - NEW
As of 9/19/23, the new Michigan Assured Admission Pact (www.maap.org) has officially launched. What does this mean for you? It means if you have a minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) you will be assured admittance into ten of the fifteen public Universities in Michigan. You will still have to apply to the University but remember, many of them offer a free application in the month of October.

FHS has partnered with Easterseals of Michigan. Easterseals offers school-based therapy with an onsite clinician 5 days per week including:
- Individual, family & group therapy utilizing evidence-based interventions.
- Specialized training & support services for parents & teachers
- Connections to numerous community resources
- Less time missed at work/school
- Fewer transportation conflicts
- Students can make appointments when convenient (avoiding test days, etc.)
