Weekly Announcements & Updates

*ALL JROTC Cadets, first and second semester, should report to the small gym on Tuesday, May 16 at 1:30 pm, in Class A uniform for the Change of Command.

*Yearbooks are in! They can be picked up from Ms. King during zero hour ONLY.

*Applications for the 2023-2024 Yearbook staff are open. Apply at this link!

*9th-11th Grade Exam Exemption forms are available in the counselors office starting Monday and they are due by Friday.

*Attention anyone interested in playing Girls Basketball next school year! Workouts are Monday - Thursday 4pm - 5pm in the weight room down by the Auxiliary gym. See Coach Silas in room 241 if you have any questions.

*Seniors, your $100 mandatory graduation fee is due. This fee covers your cap, gown, stole, diploma, diploma cover and tassel. You get to keep all items. You can pay online at myschoolfees.com or see Mrs. Fields or Ms. Swopes to pay in person. Cash, check or money order is accepted. NO payments via paypal or cashapp. All other school fees must be paid before May. If you need to know what you owe, see Ms. Swopes. Allowable honor society cords for graduation can be ordered with Mrs. Fields in the library. They are $10 each.

*Yearbooks are on sale now! The price is $40 and you can pay online at MySchoolFees or in person to Ms. King during zero period ONLY in room 124.

*CHECK STUDENT FEES ONLINE! LHS student fees can be viewed and paid online anytime by visiting https://secure3.myschoolfees.com select AL-HUNTSVILLE CITY-LEE HIGH, and register as a New User. You will need your student’s PowerSchool ID Number. You may also pay by cash or check at the school. Remember to check fees periodically for any changes that may occur. If you need help or have any questions, please contact our Bookkeeper at 256-428-8150 or by email at tamala.swopes@hsv-k12.org.

Shout-Outs

  • Shout-out to to the Band and Auxiliary! Out of 10 bands at their competition this weekend, they won 1st Place Auxiliary and overall 1st Runner-Up at the Viewer’s Choice Battle of the Bands!
  • Shout-out to all the students who participated in the talent show Friday! Thank you for having the courage to share your talents with the school!
  • Shout-out to all the sophomores and juniors who went on their class trips for representing our school so well!
