Principal's Message
Greetings da Vinci Families,
After a week of snow and ice, it was so great seeing teachers and staff back in the building this week. Aside to returning to a week of normalcy, my favorite part of the week had to be our Winter Dance Showcase. What an amazing group of talented young performers! I was so proud of the effort our students put in to get ready for this event, especially given all the disruptions the previous week. A huge shout out needs to be given to our amazing dance teachers, Sara Martins and Bobbi Sullivan, as well as to the PTSA for their presence and support throughout the night.
Next week we embark on the start of Quarter 3. In all my years as an educator, I cannot recall a 3rd Quarter that I've been more excited for than this one! The first half of this year was shrouded in disruptions. While it will feel like FOREVER until we reach Spring Break, I'm thrilled at the horizon in front of us.
As a reminder, Monday is a teacher planning day and there is NO school. Students will be back at school on Tuesday and most will have a few new classes.
I hope everyone has a great weekend. Looking forward to seeing everyone back in the building on Tuesday!
Sincerely,
Mr. Roosevelt
