THE STRENGTH OF THE WOLF IS ITS PACK
August 31, 2023
Wasco Families,
This week our PE Department and Mrs. Corda, Student Services Interventionist, launched the Gaga Pit. The Gaga Pit is a legacy gift from our PTO. Gaga is a great game because many students can play at one time and it involves movement and strategy. The PE Department and Mrs. Corda started planning for the launch of our Gaga Pit over the summer. They researched the game, identified the rules, and codified them for our teaching staff. The team also outlined a plan to teach the game during grade-level PE sessions, so that all students have direct instruction regarding the rules, strategies, and expectations of gameplay. We will be using the pit on a scheduled basis during PE classes and during recess periods. The kids are having a blast with the game! Thank you to our PTO for providing this great opportunity to our students. If you are a parent interested to help our PTO, which provides many benefits to our students and staff, there is a volunteer meeting Thursday September 7 at 6:00. We would love to have you there!
Kind Regards,
Principal Brennan

Attention 5th Grade Families! Choir Time!
Good Afternoon Wasco Families,
I am thrilled to announce the opportunity for your 5th grade student to join choir this year! This is an amazing opportunity for students to grow and develop their musicality and singing skills. The goal of our choir program is to offer a formal choral music opportunity to our students and to enrich their musical experience. We work on ensemble practice, team building, vocal technique, vocal health, unison and part-singing, all through a rich variety of vocal music repertoire. The choir program will run from September through May. If your 5th grader is interested, please see the attached letter with more information and register here. You can also find the information letter and registration link on your student's Music Schoology page. Students who are interested must be signed up by Sunday, September 24th. Rehearsals begin on Tuesday, September 26th.
Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns!
Sincerely,
Miss Zima
