EBC Family,

We had a great Easter weekend together! Our Good Friday service was meaningful and worshipful. It was a blessing to me to be a participant rather than a leader at the Friday night service. I was grateful for Pastor Craig’s leadership in reflecting on the crucifixion and observing the Lord’s Supper.

God blessed us with beautiful weather on Saturday for the Egg Hunt. Thank you Bless Committee for organizing and preparing for the event. Thank you EBC Family for stuffing eggs, showing up to serve, and visiting with all of the families that brought their kids for the Egg Hunt.

I was grateful to see so many of you on Easter Sunday morning for Worship. Your singing was exceptional! It was a joy to gather with my church family and celebrate our risen Lord Jesus together!

Remember that you have until the end of April to nominate potential deacons. Some of you have mentioned to me that you don’t know many of the younger men well enough to nominate them. How do you get to know them? Here are some ideas: sit next to their family in worship next week and strike up a conversation before or after the service, invite them to lunch after church, invite them to dinner in your home. There is one immediate opportunity this week - join us on Friday night at the church gym for a Men’s Fellowship. We will make dump stew and play corn hole together.

As you look toward the future, if you want to get to know new families, here are some additional ideas: join a Dinner for 8 Group, invite them to spend time with you on Sunday nights this summer, when we have church-wide events don’t sit next to the people you normally do - branch out and sit with our newer church members.

As our church continues to grow, choose to pursue relationships with our new members. That is one of the primary ways that God will use to continue to help us Grow Together.

Please consider serving Emmanuel's young families by giving your time during Sunday Worship service. We are asking everyone to volunteer 3 Sundays this year in our Nursery/Preschool area. You will be serving with a paid nursery worker each of these times.
