Bulldog Block
This year, we have created a Bulldog Block on Wednesdays in 'Block 5' after the four regular compressed blocks. Bulldog Block runs from 12:55 - 1:55. School bus pick-up will be at 2:00 on Wednesdays, half an hour earlier than the rest of the week.

Student Activities
The excitement continues here at Bellerose. Our October was filled with more amazing student activities including "The Floor is Lava" and the "Halloween Heist."
In November we look forward to introducing lunchtime intramurals and celebrating our students in special ways during Bulldog Recognition Week (November 6th - 8th).

Grade 12 High School Diploma Achievement
The academic progress of our grade 12 students is regularly monitored and reviewed to help ensure that students have the appropriate academic plans to achieve their intended academic credentials.
At the school level, students and families can make appointments within our Student Centre to review the current Graduation Plan and progress towards their Alberta high school academic credential and make any necessary course and/or program changes.

Post-secondary Fair
On November 16th, the Educational Liaison Association of Alberta (ELAA) will be hosting a post-secondary fair at Bellerose to showcase Alberta colleges, universities, and technical institutes. The fair will be held from 9:00-11:00AM in the Bellerose atrium.

Bulldog Athletics
The Bulldog Athletics fall season is coming to a close as playoffs kick off the month of November for our Bulldogs. Senior Volleyball playoffs begin on Wednesday, November 1st in Metro Athletics quarter final action as our Senior Men’s Volleyball Team hosts the Bandits from Beaumont in the Main Gym at 5:30pm and our Senior Women’s Volleyball Team travels to Sherwood Park for a 6:30pm matchup with the host Eagles from Strathcona Christian Academy.
Our Junior Football Team heads to the JP Bowl Turf for a 5:00pm Metro Athletics Division 1 Semi Final game against the Thunderbirds from Ross Sheppard High School.
Saturday November 4th our Senior Bulldog Football Team heads to Clarke Stadium for a 3:00pm matchup against the Spirits from Sturgeon Composite High School in search of a Metro Athletics Mile Division Championship. Come cheer on our Bulldogs ! A gate admission of $7.00 for adults, $5.00 for students and 12 and under are free will be in effect for the game.
Bulldog Basketball tryouts begin on Friday, November 3rd for Bulldog Men’s Basketball. The first tryout begins at 5:00pm in the Main Gym. Bulldog Women’s Basketball will start the week of November 6th with times and dates to be announced.
The Bulldog Co-Ed Indoor Soccer team hits the turf for their first game of the 2023-2024 Metro Athletics season on Wednesday, November 15th at 4:30pm at the South Soccer Centre against the Warriors from WP Wagner.
Bulldog Curling is back on the ice as the Metro Athletics Fall Season begins with a 4:00pm game on Tuesday, November 7th at the Jasper Place Curling Club against Harry Ainlay C..
Bulldog Captain’s Council, a leadership program designed specifically for the high school athlete/leader, returns for its 4th year! In addition to developing leadership skills, Bulldog Captain’s Council promotes sportsmanship, school spirit, integrity and community service. The first meeting of the school year will be held on Thursday, November 16th at 11:00am in Room 213.

Career's and Dual Credit - Discover your Journey
If you have a student that is working, they could and should be in Work Experience for credit. The process is quite simple. Check in with Mr. Turnham or Mrs. Pearson to register.
If you are a current Work Experience students you are reminded to submit your timesheet monthly. If you have any outstanding paperwork please get that in ASAP too.
Dual credit semester 2 course listings will be posted soon. Keep an eye out for the registration form in your google classroom soon. If you want to get a jump on a university course or 2, this is for you.

Student Parking
We currently have a wait-list for student parking passes. As passes become available, they will be assigned in the order they are received on the wait-list.
How to get on the wait-list:
Please visit the PowerSchool Parent Portal (fees section) and complete the application. You must complete the application in full and add it to your cart. Once in your cart you must check out in order for the application to be submitted (the amount owing will show $0 for the parking pass). When a pass becomes available, the applicant will receive an email that a pass has been added and they can pay through the parent portal. Once payment is received, the pass will be issued.
Parking passes are available to ALL students with a valid driver's license that are attending in-class at Bellerose. The student parking lot is located on the west side of the school and a valid permit is required to park in the lot.

A reminder that all outstanding textbooks, which includes novels assigned in class, must be returned immediately please. Students and parents have received email messages (students check your @5565 email account) regarding the titles to be returned. School Fees
A reminder statement was sent out on October 18th for your child’s Semester 1 school fees and/or athletic fees. The statement included new fees for courses and activities in which your child is currently enrolled in semester 1, and any outstanding balances from previous years. If you did not receive a statement, but believe you should have school fees owing, please contact the school so that we may confirm your contact information.

How to make a payment:
Through the PowerSchool Parent Portal using a credit card or visa debit card.
In the school office by cash, cheque, debit or credit card.
By calling the school office and providing credit card information.
**Please note that debit/credit transactions made through the portal, in person or over the phone, are all subject to a 2.4% service charge.
