What's Happening ?? !!

Dear Hawley Parents/Guardians, Staff and Teachers,

Can't believe that we are approaching the end of November. So much was accomplished including celebrating Veteran's Day and Self-Kindness. Plus all the Teaching, Learning & FUN!

Buckle up, keep your hands and feet in the car at all times, and stay seated as you read on to find out What's Happening at Hawley .......

We are always on the look out for staff and students performing extraordinary acts of kindness that just stand out and need to be recognized. Here's who we caught this week-

Veteran's Day at Hawley is nothing short of amazing. The turnout of invited guests continues to grow. The students go above and beyond honoring them in their writing and singing. And, it all launches with a wonderful breakfast courtesy of our terrific PTA.

We have completed 4 Weeks of Math Superstars. Participation is optional. Worksheets and more information is located on the Hawley PTA website (under the student enrichment link) which you can access from the Hawley website.

Keep sending in those worksheets weekly (or as completed).

We are assisting a Hawley Family collect toys for Boston Children's Hospital. Please send in a new, unwrapped toy before Winter Recess. The donation box will be in our main lobby. Thank you for your support. Click here for more information.

As part of Self-Awareness Month, Hawley again held a Self-Kindness Day! Students learned the importance of taking the time to do something that they enjoy and that brings them happiness. They chose from a variety of activities facilitated by Staff. It was an amazing afternoon.

Thank you to Mrs. Connors, Mrs. Shapiro and Mrs. Vitarelli for all their time and efforts that went into this very successful experience.
