PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE
Dear Eagle Crest Families 🦅🌟,
I wanted to take a moment to share some exciting news with you all. This past week, we had the privilege of hosting two special visits here at Eagle Crest that I am thrilled to tell you about. Deputy Superintendent Jackie Kapushion and our new school board member, Jocelyn Gilligan, came for a visit. They spent time touring our classrooms and exploring our facilities, gaining first hand insight into the vibrant learning environment we nurture here at Eagle Crest.
Additionally, this week, we were happy to welcome Chief Academic Officer Diane Lauer, Executive Director of Assessment Jamie Ball, and Karen Smith, our Elementary Language Arts Director. They devoted their time to observing our dedicated teachers and engaged students as they delved into our literacy curriculum in grades 1-3. They were able to see our students working in small groups, all together for whole class direct instruction, as well as some independent work time with teacher support and guidance. Their valuable observations and feedback will undoubtedly help us enhance our practices as we continuously strive for excellence.
These visits are particularly meaningful to us for two reasons. Firstly, they provide us with a fun opportunity to showcase the incredible work of our teachers and students. Secondly, they offer us feedback and insights from experts in the field, helping us to refine and improve our educational practices.
I am personally filled with pride seeing our staff hold their professions in such high esteem, embodying the spirit of lifelong learning. This commitment to growth and excellence is at the heart of public education, and we are honored to play our part in it here at Eagle Crest.
As we look forward to the long weekend, I want to express my gratitude to all of you for your ongoing support and partnership in your child's education. Together, we are creating a community of learners and leaders.
Wishing you all a wonderful and restful weekend ahead!
Warmly, 🌟
Amanda
