GIRLS BASKETBALL INFORMATION
CROSS COUNTRY
On Wednesday at the Northwest Invitational, all those PR's set the meet before were broken again as 21 out of 23 runners set PRs (several over a minute). Josiah Lovelace ran 18:33 - the fastest Affton 5k time in three years. The boy's varsity team lowered the bar again with all members running under 21 minutes. The team's only senior, Emrah Omerovic, had his best run with a 20:19 - fitting because the team celebrated "Emrah Night" (XC's senior night) at Chevy's after the meet.
The girls team was anchored by a strong performance by the Sydney's - Sydney Paglush and Hallenburg both going under 25:00 for the first time. Michelle Schaffer and Marinna Castro-Lester finished in the 26:00's and Zoey Bell and Lashera McFee set PRs by over two minutes.
