The Gator Gazette
October 16 - October 20
Hello Gators!
The end of the first quarter is this Friday, October 20 and with Parent/Teacher Conferences right around the corner it is a great time to pause and reflect on your first 9 weeks as a Glenview Middle School Student.
Ask yourself...
Am I on track for all of my classes?
What has been working for me to stay on track and what hinders my success?
Am I able to manage my time?
Am I completing tasks and meeting deadlines?
Am I asking questions and/or getting the support I need to be successful?
AND, remember to take a moment to CELEBRATE YOU and all of your successes throughout these first 9 weeks.
Parent Teacher Conferences
GMS Families - Beginning TODAY you will receive an email with a Google Form to select your preferred times for Parent Teacher Conferences on Thursday, November 2 from 3pm - 7pm and Friday, November 3 from 7:15am - 11am.
Parents/Guardians will sign up for a 10 minute conference with their students 1st period - students with a 1st period PE or Exploratory teacher have been reassigned to one of their "Core Academic" teachers. If you would like to meet with specific teachers please contact them directly to schedule a Pop-in conference or a phone conference on one of those dates. Conference time is a great opportunity for parents/guardians to get to know your student's teachers, to talk about what support is needed to improve and maintain academic and behavioral performance in school and to stay on track for promotion.
If you have questions please contact us - GMS Main Office 309.755.1919, we are here to assist.
A few reminders:

- All GMS students have been assigned a personal locker - Need assistance please stop by the Main Office for support
- Please remind your student to leave blankets, stuffed animals, and toys at home - these items will be taken to the Main Office for pick-up at the end of the school day
