New High School Open House TOMORROW - Everyone is Welcome

Tomorrow, Saturday, January 29th, the Blair Oaks R-II School District will be having a ceremony to commemorate the opening of the Blair Oaks High School.

Open House ~ 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Dedication Ceremony ~ 11:00 a.m. (HS auditorium)

Ribbon Cutting ~ following the Dedication Ceremony

Refreshments ~ 12:00 - 1:30 p.m.

The District will be recognizing the Blair Oaks R-II School District Board of Education, school personnel, community leaders, contractors, and subcontractors during the ceremony.

The public is invited!

Blair Oaks R-II Preschool Enrollment Information ~ CHANGES MADE!

Thank you for completing the original Blair Oaks R-II Preschool Enrollment form. Based on your feedback, it looks like the best way to serve our young children in the Blair Oaks School District is to offer a FULL DAY preschool program. Included on the enrollment form you will find information regarding the full day program.

If you have a child who will be turning four years old before August 1, 2022, they are eligible to enroll in the preschool program.

If you have a child who is eligible (whether you are interested in participating in the program or not), please fill the form out, so the district has updated information.

Mother/Son Basketball

Calling all moms of Blair Oaks Elementary and Intermediate School boys... come spend an evening of friendly competition with your son!

An event flyer was sent home last week.

Please be aware that the flyer and event fee must be returned to school TODAY (Friday, January 28) in order to participate in the event.

Valentine's Class Parties

Please take a moment to sign up to attend the Valentine party this school year if you haven't already. IF you came to the Halloween or Christmas Party, you will have to refrain from attending the Valentine's Party.

IF you already signed up, you do not need to sign up again.

**Please note: if at any time prior to the scheduled parties we move to the red risk level, parents will not be able to attend parties. We will continue to keep you updated should this take place.

General Guidelines:

Only those signed up for a party will be allowed to attend.
Hand sanitizer will be available in each classroom.
Parties will take place first thing in the morning from 8:15-9:15am. Guests will not be allowed to go to classrooms until 8:15.
Each classroom will have a sign-up to send in items for the party.

Reminder - Water Bottles

Just a reminder that students should bring water bottles to school each day. A back-up water bottle for their locker is recommended. There have been many water bottles handed out to students recently.

Fighting with Free Throws

Between January 31st & February 10th, Blair Oaks basketball coaches invite any and all students to shoot 100 free throws to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Athletes find sponsors to pledge money for each free throw made. After athletes shoot the free throws, they will need to collect donations/pledges. Pledge sheets and donations should be turned in to the office by February 11, 2022. Students can shoot at home or in a gym, just keep track of your makes! A copy of the pledge sheet was sent home today and linked below.

The presentation of the check to the American Cancer Society will be held between the JV and Varsity boys game against Jefferson City High School on February 11, 2022.

Baseball Falcon Wear

The Baseball online fanwear store is now open and will remain open through February 1st. All items will be delivered directly to the purchaser around mid-March. Be sure to choose your favorite player to receive credit for your order or just type in Falcons to give your credit to the team!
