We have had a very busy few months with lots of exciting events and fundraisers! Thank you to all of our volunteers for their help, and thank you to our Medway community for its participation and support! We wish everyone a very Happy Holiday Season and cannot wait to kick off 2023 with even more exciting events for our McGovern and Memorial students and families!

Get Ready to Shuffle! The 12th annual MEPTO Shamrock Shuffle will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at the Medway High School. The 5K (3.1 mile) course winds through the scenic back roads of Medway and is open to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities, including children and families. Make sure to wear your green and show off your shamrock pride!

Early bird sign up rates are $25 for 17+ and $18 for under 17, but these will increase on January 1st, so register today!

Everyone who registers before 2/1 will get a free shirt!

Calling all McGovern parents! The recess shed needs a little TLC. The school needs biweekly volunteers to inflate balls, check inventory on chalk, bubbles etc., and reorganize a bit. You can choose the day of the week or time based on your schedule!

On October 16th, we had our annual Pumpkin Fair! We had an amazing turnout, and a huge assortment of vendors, activities for kids, and food trucks! We love seeing families, friends, and the community come together for a day of fun and pumpkins!

On November 4th, against all odds amidst the great Medway power outage, we held our Adult Night Out at the Medway VFW! We were so happy to bring everyone together for the first time since the pandemic began. We had a blast singing and dancing to performer Bruce Jacques, and our charcuterie table was a thing of beauty! It was an amazing night of fun and laughs! Stay tuned for another event in the spring!

We were thrilled to bring Dynamic Influence to our 4th graders at Memorial on 12/2! The performance used magic, illusions, and humor to present important lessons about communication, conflict resolution, and strategies to deal with bullying. We hope all the students enjoyed it!

RIF day was held on December 15th at Memorial!

RIF stands for Reading is Fundamental. We believe that every child deserves a book of their own, so once a year, MEPTO creates a book shop where each 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grader can select a book to take home! Parent volunteers help students shop for their books.

We hope all the students enjoyed their new books!!! Thank you to all the parents who volunteered!
