Dear Parents / Carers,
We have had a great start to the new year at Kirk Fenton. It is always lovely to welcome the children back after a holiday, and they have come back with a great attitude, settling quickly back into school life. There has been lots of great learning going on in classes from building wheels and axles in Seacole, to computer programming in Jean King, to algebra in Barnardo. If you would like to find out more about what your children are doing in class, newsletters detailing the learning for this half term are now on our website.
I have really enjoyed my first week as acting headteacher. Thank you for all of the supportive and kind comments I have had from so many of you. It has been great to speak to so many parents and carers this week; please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any concerns, questions or if you have any suggestions for how we can do things differently. As I said in my letter emailed out earlier this week, It is an absolute privilege to lead such a special place, and I am looking forward to what the next two terms will bring.
Have a lovely weekend.
