Simpson Elementary School: November 2023 Edition
October Bulldogs of the Month
Each month, Simpson students focus on developing specific character traits. Students learn what it looks like to exhibit these traits and are recognized for demonstrating them inside and outside of the classroom. October's character trait was "respect." Congratulations to October's Bulldogs of the Month: Dalton W., Rydar S., Franco R., Malia C., Levi G., Bodie B., Anna B., Theo P., Alyvia C., Grisleydi R., London S., Sophie W., Gia V., Keaton S., Mateo R., Marieann R., Lainey C., and Gavin V.
Students will focus on "citizenship" as the character trait for the month of November.
November Parent/Teacher Conferences
Elementary parent/teacher conferences will be held on November 6, 7, 8, and 9 in person in your child's classroom. If you have not yet scheduled your conference appointment, please contact the office ASAP.
Simpson Elementary students will be dismissed at 12:10 p.m. on these days. Students will still have lunch at school on early release days. There is no school for all students on Friday, November 10 in observance of Veterans Day.
Progress reports for the first quarter will be sent home at your child's conference. Your child’s teacher will discuss student progress, meeting student goals, and the implementation of class curriculum. If you have any concerns about your child’s progress, please address the problems at this time. Please make every effort to meet with your child’s teacher at the scheduled time.
Picture Retake Day & Class Pictures
Picture retakes will be held on Thursday, November 16 at Simpson Elementary School. Students who missed picture day will have photos taken along with anyone who was unsatisfied with their original photo. Group class pictures will also be taken on this day. Parents will receive an email directly from Jostens PIX with options for purchase.

Lost & Found
Is your child missing a sweatshirt, jacket, or lunch box? Your child can look for their lost item before or after school on the lost & found rack outside the library. It is very helpful to clearly label personal belongings with your child's name so that lost items may be returned promptly.
