Shore Art Department

Throughout the month of February Art students learned about various African American prominent figures and created artwork showcasing these individuals. 6th grade students focused on African American Artists, while 7th and 8th grade students focused on African American heroes both past and present.

We invite you to take some time to check out their work which is also showcased in our Art hallway at Shore.

8th Grade Fine Art students created two 21" x 68" murals each with 36 pieces. They researched the notable African American men and women featured on the mural, along with African American artists, and other predominate figures.

Each 7th Grade Fine Art class created a large mural focusing on an individual African American hero. They researched that person featured on their mural and added a piece of knowledge to a shared Padlet.
