Welcome to Gardner Elementary!

Supply drop night is August 10th from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm. Students and parents are invited to stop by Gardner Elementary to drop off their school supplies and meet their teacher. Some guidelines:

*Wearing a mask while in the building is required regardless of vaccination status.

*Please do not attend supply drop if you have any COVID symptoms.

*Please stay socially distanced.

*Please limit your visit to meeting the teacher, dropping off supplies, and visiting the cafeteria and gym.

*The nurse will be available if you need to drop off forms or medication.

The first day of school is Thursday, August 12th, 2021! This will be a full day.

We will continue to have parents complete the MiineHealth app daily for each student. More information will be available soon.

School begins at 8:00 am. Students may be dropped off at 7:40 and enter the building at 7:45. We have two drop off options: circle drive near the building (please pull all the way forward before allowing your child to unload) or at the cones on the west (5th grade) side of the parking lot. Please do not go around vehicles when students are arriving to school. We ask adults to stay in their vehicles. We will have supervisors at each crosswalk.

Students who are being picked up from school will be dismissed at 2:30 p.m. When picking up, use the available parking spaces or the circle drive. Please stay in your vehicle. Displaying the sheet of colored paper with your student's name and his/her homeroom name in the passenger side front window is best so that staff can radio your student to come to the vehicle. Your student can pick up the paper from his/her homeroom teacher on supply night. It is not required to have the paper to pick up your student. Please be patient with us as we get to know parents and students.

Bus students will board the bus at 3:00. Be looking for bus pick up and drop off times in the mail from the bus garage.

If your student will need bus transportation to or from a location other than your home address, a Special Request for Bus Transportation form must be completed each year. This will replace your home address for bus pick up and/or drop off. The bus garage needs this information as soon as possible to set routes. If you have not yet completed a pass, please do so at your earliest convenience. Special requests that are submitted too late may not be ready for the first day of school. Students who go to two different households for joint custody will also need a special bus request completed each year. These students will have two home addresses on file with the bus garage.

We have made some adjustments to lunchtime in order to be able to spread out in the cafeteria. Each grade level will be split into two groups. One group will be eating lunch while the the other group is at recess. Then the students will switch. 4th graders will be eating at either 11:00 or 11:20. 5th graders will be eating at either 11:40 or 12:00.

Picture day is coming! Lifetouch will be at Gardner Elementary on August 26th.
