School Holidays Coming Up!

All students and staff will follow the Weatherford ISD school calendar as approved for the 2019-2020 school year and that means we have two holidays coming up!


Weatherford ISD students and staff will observe the scheduled holidays on Friday, April 10 and Monday, April 20. Please note there will be no meal service for students on April 20th.

Learning at Home Student Work...Coming Soon to Your Mailbox!

The Weatherford ISD Academics Department has prepared and mailed learning at home materials for students. The information contained in this mailing will provide students with lessons for the next 3 weeks. Parents should expect this mailing to arrive early next week.


*Please note: The cover letter in this mailing was printed before Governor Abbott's announcement that all schools would be closed until Monday, May 4th. All Weatherford ISD schools are closed until May 4th.

A Message about COVID-19

Dear WISD Families,


Though we are apart right now for our health and safety, Weatherford ISD continues to support each other as a community, and right now we must work together to fight COVID-19. In order to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, we will be providing you with information through emails and social media posts over the next two weeks to share vitally important guidance.


This guidance is based on what scientists know about how to prevent the spread of COVID-19, and it is our hope that you will do what you can to follow these practices and share them with your friends and family.


Thank you for all you are doing to educate your children at home and all the efforts you’re making to keep your family healthy and safe. We know this is a difficult time. If we stand apart as a community during this stretch and continue following the public health practices we will be sharing over the coming days, we will be back together soon.

WISD Wi-Fi

Weatherford ISD provides free Wi-Fi access for our families from 8:00 am - 10:00 pm in each campus parking lot.

For your health and safety, we encourage you to remain in your vehicle while accessing Wi-Fi. If you and your children are outside of the vehicle, you must practice social distancing. Please keep at least 6 feet away from other families. School playgrounds are not accessible at this time.

Meals for Children

Weatherford ISD's Child Nutrition Department provides free meals to children age 18 and under on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. This service is available at Curtis Elementary and Ikard Elementary.


*Please note there will not be meal service on Monday, April 20 because it is a school holiday. Meal service will resume that week on Wednesday, April 22.

School Board Meeting - April 2020

The next regular meeting of the Weatherford ISD Board of Trustees will be held on April 13, 2020 at 7:00 pm. Due to social distancing requirements, this meeting will be broadcast. Information on viewing this meeting will be posted on the meeting agenda.
