Health Services Update - Back to School 2021
Based on the most current CDPH published health rules for K-12 schools, students and families can expect the following this fall...
- Full-day in-person instruction and normal weekly schedules will return to pre-pandemic operations at all Springs student centers.
- Additional supports will be offered for ongoing mental, emotional, and academic needs.
- Nutrition Services will continue to offer free meals to all students daily.
- Springs will continue to offer a vast variety of K-12 homeschool, independent study, and virtual learning programs to serve students who choose to learn remotely.
Updated Virus Transmission Mitigation Safety Measures
Current county and state public health orders are requiring that we provide the following:
- Face coverings while indoors at school sites. At this time, CDPH has stated that all students, staff, and visitors will need to wear masks while indoors. This is regardless of vaccination status. Per CDPH, face coverings will not be required when outdoors.
- Daily symptom and temperature screening of students and staff, requiring parents/students and staff to indicate they are symptom-free and fever-free each day of attendance.
- Hand sanitizing stations and signage throughout each campus, and universal handwashing and hand sanitizing protocols at all levels and on all campuses.
- Contact tracing and close contact exposure screening. Students who are placed on quarantine/extended illness will receive independent study assignments.
- Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for staff members, as required by job classification.
- Filters will be replaced on a schedule, per manufacturer instructions.
- Daily cleaning and sanitizing of classrooms and common spaces.
As mentioned above, we will continue to monitor and adjust these guidelines as new data or recommendations evolve from the California Department of Public Health. Springs Health Services Department and school administration will continue to keep you updated as new information or changes become available.
We look forward to welcoming our students and staff back full-time in August!

Student Uniforms and Supplies
FAPA Polo and Sweatshirts - ORDERS DUE AUGUST 10, 2021
This is the last day to order uniforms in time for them to arrive for orientation.
All students attending Flabob Airport Preparatory Academy wear uniforms.
Our uniforms consist of grade-designated polo shirts and bottoms. Students are expected to report to school in the proper uniform daily.
Designated polo shirt colors are listed below:
- Navy Blue Polo/Hoodie (Grades 6 - 8)
- California Blue/Teal Polo/Hoodie (Grades 9 - 11)
- Black Polo/Hoodie (Grade 12)
Be sure to order the CORRECT color and size.
Polos/hoodies/sweatshirts may not be modified in any way.
Appropriate bottoms include tan (khaki), navy blue or black pants, capris, shorts, skirts, and jumpers. Bottoms must be appropriate in length (extremely short bottoms will not be allowed). Bottoms may not have excessive rips, holes, or other decorative items. Leggings may not be worn as pants.
FAPA Zip Hoodies are available in navy blue or black. Students may wear either color.
Students may elect to wear their own sweatshirts (or hoodies) as long as they are the same grade-level color. No writing of any kind can be on the sweatshirts or hoodies. FAPA sweatshirts may be worn at any time. The FAPA polo MUST BE worn underneath the sweatshirt/hoodie.
All clothing is to fit appropriately without excessive sagging or tightness.
In addition to wearing FAPA designated uniform items, we adhere to all Springs Dress code policies as outlined in the I CAN Student/Parent Handbook. The handbook will be available during orientation.
Click the buttons below to order your polo or sweatshirt. All shirts will be shipped to the school (this will save you shipping charges) and will be available for pickup during orientation in August. Because these are custom orders, they can't be returned and we are unable to refund the cost of the shirt.
When you order, please include the students' name(s) in the PRIVATE NOTE section of the order.
Please email timothy.fuentes@springscs.org for any questions regarding uniforms.
2021 - 2022 After School Program for Middle School
Great news! Springs Charter has been very fortunate to receive funding not only for summer school this year but for after-school extended learning programs in the 21-22 school year. As partners in your students' education experience, we want your input as we move forward with plans.
Our intent is to provide opportunities for a variety of experiences that focus on creativity, play, and academic support. In the survey below, please let us know if you would want your student (s) to participate in after-school activities, which activities you are most interested in, and which days you prefer. We are considering Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Any FAPA afterschool extended learning program plans next year will be on campus, supervised by school staff, and provided at NO COST to families. Any arrangements for aftercare after these programs are complete for the day would be the responsibility of the parent or guardian to coordinate.
You may fill out one survey for your family (just list all of the names of the students interested). Based on the responses to this survey, we will finalize the plan and then send registration information to parents.
You can access the survey by pressing the button below.
Thank you for your feedback!
FAPA STEAM "Makerspace" Donations
Donation List
Our STEAM program allows students to complete collaborative hands-on projects. This approach allows students to improve their problem-solving and critical thinking skills as they develop invaluable competencies in leadership, team building, creativity, and communication. These are all 21st-century skills that students will need in their college and/or careers.
This means that students will need supplies to complete their designs. Due to recommendations that each student has their own set of materials, you will see that many of the items on our list are "bulk." However, please feel free to donate less than the "bulk" requested. If you would like to help fill our maker space with supplies please click the button below.
