CONGRATULATIONS LIBRARY TEAM
Ottercares Grant
The BHMS Library team was just awarded $8500 from Otterbox Ottercares Grant Program!
This grant funds, The Collaboratory Bobcat Den within Bernardo Heights Middle School Library as a dynamic Career and Technical Education hub that empowers a diverse student body with the tools and mindset they need for success in an evolving world. Through a blend of collaboration and problem-solving, students will think beyond the ordinary and embrace innovation. In a world where job opportunities of the future have not yet been defined, The Den inspires students to explore and discover, creating a promising future.
We are excited to start with Ottercares generous contribution but we are currently looking for other grant funded programs or businesses who would like to sponsor the Bobcat Collaboratory Den. Please contact Mrs. Brailsford if you know of any opportunities, jbrailsford@powayusd.com.

The Kumeyaay-Ipai Interpretive Center of Pauwai (Poway) is a five acre site rich in the local history of the Kumeyaay-Ipai Indian tribes. Follow the trails past ramadas, interpretive signage, native gardens and a replica of an 'ewaa (native Kumeyaay house). Morteros (grinding stones) left by the original Kumeyaay inhabitants still remain on this historic site. Also visit the Education Center to view artifacts and other interesting historical items and photos.
