Kindergarten to Grade 6
Hello from Mrs. Oikonen!
Welcome to week 3 of online learning! Hopefully, everyone is starting to settle into some home routines that help your school day flow. Remember to take breaks when your child needs one!! I would like to remind you that the weekly schedules are merely a suggestion for times and subjects each day. Because of the flexibility of our program, assignments can be worked on at any time that suits your family needs.
You will notice that your child will be starting art and music this week as well. For art, we will have one project per week. If there are certain supplies needed, I will post this on your child's art homepage. We will be completing 2 lessons for music per week. If there are required supplies, I will post on the music homepage for each grade.
We will continue with our regular group meets this week. Please make sure to sign- up for an individual meet for your child on our September calendar. I will be continuing to complete Language Arts and Math assessments with the children.
A huge welcome to our Kindergarten families that will be starting their learning this week!
Here is what we will be focusing on this week!
Student Schedules and PowerSchool
Students schedules are available in PowerSchool. Log in with your User Name and Password to: https://eics.powerschool.com/public/ However, your courses will not be availabe in your Canvas Online Classroom until Tuesday, August 30th.
If you need to make changes to your schedule (grades 10-12 only), email Mrs. Damur melissad@eics.ab.ca.
PowerSchool is your "one stop shop" to monitor: grades, student progress, student fees, updated contact information. Please get in the habit of checking it regularly.
Mrs. Wright put together a video to guide you through the process of becoming "PowerSchool Savvy".
