Tutoring Will Start Soon: If your child has been identified as needing tutoring, his/her teacher will be contacting you regarding before or after school tutoring opportunities. There are no charges for tutoring. However, if your child is attending after school tutoring, he/she may want to pack an snack to eat during the tutoring session.

SNAP and Medicaid Application Assistance: If you would like assistance in applying for SNAP or Medicaid, then please call the Elementary office so we can help you set up an appointment with someone who can help you complete the process. If you would like us to send home applications for you to complete on your own, we can do that too. Just give us call and let us know how we can help! 417-723-5300 ext 902.

Elementary Cross Country Meet: We are excited to announce 21 students in 1st through 6th grade were offered the chance to run in their first Elementary Cross Country Meet on this Wednesday, September 28 at 4:30 in Spokane, MO. Students who ran their mile fitness test in PE within a certain time frame were selected to have the opportunity to run! Selected students must return their signed permission slip in order to participate. They will ride the bus to the Spokane. If parents want to take their child home from Spokane, they will have to sign their child out with Coach Jensen, otherwise the bus will bring them back to school. We wish our runners the best of luck on Wednesday!

Fall Carnival: Mark your calendars for the Crane Elementary Fall Carnival, coming up on Friday, October 28, 2022. Food and games will be available for purchase from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Students are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to this year's Fall Carnival! Each grade level/organization will also have a raffle basket they will be selling raffle tickets for starting October 18. Stay tuned for more information!

Still Important...

Student Absences: If your child is absent from school for any reason, please call the office to let us know. The phone number is 417-723-5300 ext. 902.

Breakfast: If your child is a parent drop off each morning and wants to eat breakfast at school, he/she needs to be dropped off no later than 7:40 AM. We have had a few come after 7:45 and they do not have time to get to breakfast before being counted tardy for class.

October 7: Character Student of the Month Assembly at 7:45 AM

October 11: CSCO Meeting at 7 PM in the Preschool Commons Area

October 12: Elementary Cross Country Meet at Galena

October 13: 6th Grade Band Rental Night 4:30 PM-6:30 PM

October 21: End of 1st Quarter

October 25: 6th graders need instruments for Band

October 28: Class Halloween Parties 10:00 AM for AM PK Sessions, 2:30 PM for all other classes.

October 28: Fall Carnival: Students are invited to wear their costumes that evening. 5:30 PM-7:30 PM
