This week's story, Skin Sense A Story about Sun Safety for Young Children by Lori Lehrer-Glickman. This story is about sun safety and how easy it can be to protect yourself from the sun! The story was written in the voice of a four year old.

Hello Hatherly families! The fifth grade Student Government has decided to do a Ukrainian fundraiser sale to benefit Ukrainians. We have thought long and hard about what to sell. The Student Government has decided that we are going to sell Hatherly Cares Bracelets ($1 each), Ukraine Stickers and Animal Stickers ($1 each), and Canvas and Wood Signs ($2-5 each, depending on the size). All proceeds will go to Project C.A.R.E in support of Ukraine. The fundraiser will take place on Friday, May 13th. We will remind our fellow students on the announcements a few days in advance of the fundraiser. Students are also invited to wear their blue and yellow attire on Friday, May 13th. Please support this important cause to help the victims of Ukraine.

On Thursday we kicked off our school day by walking with our friends, families, and teachers to school! It was the perfect morning with the sun shining and the birds chirping!

The next edition of Thursday Thoughts is dedicated to celebrating the great people in our school community. If you want to recognize someone to be included in the next district newsletter, please fill out this form. We welcome recognition for anyone in our school community!
