Soul Matters for Parents, February 23rd
Please join us at 12:30 on February 23rd to reflect and discuss as parents on the theme for March: Wisdom.
Lunch and childcare are provided.
February's Theme is Resilience
This month the theme is “Resilience”.
Resilience is interesting, because it is defined as both strength and flexibility, the ability to withstand pressure and the quality of bouncing back to integrity and wholeness after a pressure or deformation.
Resilience is also a major focus of parenting and education these days! For kids, it's all about growth mindset, learning from failure, and being able to ask for help. Read more here.
All Congregation Pajama Day!
March 8th we spring forward for Daylight Savings, and we'll celebrate that shorter night's sleep with an All congregation Pajama Day.
Come to church in your jammies!
Come Cook Together
We love having lunch together, now we will have the opportunity to work together to cook and prepare for our lunches.
Saturday, March 14th, 10am-noon, all are invited to come and work together to create delicious and healthy vegetarian dishes for the potluck lunch the next day.
Ingredients will be provided, or if you have an idea for a recipe and would like to bring your own just contact Sara at dre@ouuc.org
Feedback sought about Children and the Offering
In a recent meeting with families, we heard a desire to have the children participate in the ritual of the Offering. We would love to hear more feedback on whether families would like their children to be in worship longer and have the offering before they exit for class.
Please take a few minutes to fill out our short survey.
Time to Register Now if You Have Not Already!
Our new year of classes begin this Sunday! It's going to be a great year, and one way to make it even better … knowing who will be coming!
