Staff and students at Governor Winslow School are happy to welcome families back into the building this year. Next week, there are two opportunities for you to join us as we celebrate excellence at school. Our annual Jog-a-thon will be held on Tuesday, and we invite parents/guardians to cheer on their students as they jog to promote healthy habits and to raise funds to help us support the many needs in our building. Spectators may report directly to the field behind the school. On Wednesday, we will host Curriculum Night, where teachers share the wonderful work going on in our classrooms. Please see schedules for both of these events below.

Monday 10/31: Grade 3 field trip to Plimoth Patuxet

Tuesday 11/8: No school for students (Professional development day for teachers)

Friday 11/11: No school, Veterans Day

Picture make-up/retake day is scheduled for Friday, October 21 for any student who was absent on Picture Day or who was not satisfied with his/her original photo. For all picture retakes please return the original portrait package.

Lunch and breakfast will be served at all elementary schools this year free of charge.

A la carte items cost extra and cannot be charged to a student's account.

Parent's Night Out

Tickets are still available to the parents night out at IGolf, hosted by the GWS PTO. OCTOBER 15th!! More that just golf--there’s skeeball, shuffleboard, fooseball, cornhole, airhockey, and so much more We can't wait to meet you all there! The cost is $20 for single ticket or $30 per couple. JOG-A-THON

JOG-A-THON will be held October 18th weather permitting with a rain date of October 20th! Donation envelopes went out last Friday. Please have your child return their envelope by Tuesday!

GWS will continue to use the web based application called PickUp Patrol (PUP) to help us better manage our dismissal process. PUP allows parents to electronically make daily dismissal changes from a computer or smart phone. If you need a registration link, please email cmullen@mpsd.org.

The Marshfield Road Runners Youth Track Club, Marshfield Boys and Girls Club, Marshfield Districtwide PTO and Furnace Brook Middle School XC/Track & Field are excited to announce the that the 5th Annual Marshfield Elementary School Invitational will take place Wednesday 10/26/2022 at the Marshfield Boys and Girls Club (37 Proprietor's Drive, Marshfield) with check-in beginning at 3:00 PM. Races begin at 3:30. A fun, free event for all Marshfield Elementary students!
