Arrival/Dismissal

You may have noticed the yellow band painted on the street side of our sidewalks. This is a visual reminder to walk/stand back from the street. Please be sure to stay behind the yellow band, and encourage your children to do the same during drop off and pick up. We appreciate your help in keeping everyone safe.

Popcorn Friday

Popcorn Friday will begin Friday, October 21st! Popcorn Friday is a Middleton PAC event. Popcorn will be delivered to the classrooms by parent volunteers each Friday there is school. If you are able, please send a $5 donation to school in an envelope labeled "popcorn" and give to your classroom teacher or to the office. If you make a check out please make it out to Middleton PAC. All students will be offered popcorn regardless of the number of donations received. We are so excited to bring this fun tradition back to Middleton this year!

Weekend Food Backpack Program

Middleton has teamed up with a local food pantry to provide families in need with weekend food support. Participating students receive a bag filled with extra food and snacks on Fridays. To participate in this program, please email our school counselor, Alyssa Olson, at AOlson@sherwood.k12.or.us or call at 503-825-5304. Please include your student's name and the number of children in the family (regardless of age). This only information shared with the Backpack Program is the number of children in the home.

School Meals: Free & Reduced and Expanded Income Eligibility Programs

We recognize the impact that returning to paid school meals this year can have on family budgets, and encourage parents/guardians to complete an eligibility application to determine if your family qualifies for free or reduced meals -- even if your family may not have been eligible under federal guidelines in past years. The Oregon Expanded Income Eligibility Group (EIG) supports families who do not qualify for meal benefits using federal income guidelines. It provides meal benefits to households with incomes above 185%, but not exceeding 300%, of the federal poverty guidelines.

To apply for either Federal or EIG free/reduced meal eligibility, please complete the Online Free and Reduced Meal Application. For more details on income-based eligibility, please click the image below to access the Federal and Oregon Expanded Income Eligibility charts for the 2022-23 school year.
