1st Quarter Athletics Information
First Quarter Sports pictures will be taken on Monday, October 16th after school. Please have your student bring their uniform to school to wear for the team and (optional) individual pictures. Use THIS ORDER CODE.
2nd Quarter Athletics Information
Is your child interested in athletics? Our 2nd Quarter sports are Boys’ Basketball & Girls' Soccer.
1.) Schedule an athletic physical. If you did not play a first quarter sport, you will need to do this! A sports physical is required for middle school athletics, which is good for both 7th and 8th grade. You will upload a pdf of the document when you register during Step Two.
2.) Register your student for their sport online. Go to Register My Athlete to set up your account. Choose Tortolita Middle School, and select the second quarter sport your child will play. At that point, registermyathlete.com will guide you through all the registration requirements and information.
3.) Pay the $65 sports fee (per season) at the Bookstore. If your child plays the first three seasons, the fourth season sport fee is waived!
Please call the school at 579-4600 with any questions.

Leader in Me Curriculum Updates
This week, 7th graders learned about principle centered living. Students learned how to apply principles that matter most to them when making important life choices. Work together to find memes or graphics that represent your family values. Consider posting it in a visible location!
This week, 8th graders wrote and revised our personal mission statements. The personal mission statement is the blueprint for how we want to live our lives. As a family, discuss these questions: What values do you hold close? How do you want to be remembered? How do you bring your values to life?

“In many cases our schools provide services to our community that extend beyond classroom instruction,” said Dr. Dan Streeter, Marana Unified School District superintendent. “Our Marana Cares Mobile allows us to continue to provide these opportunities to our community during our school breaks. Knowing that nutrition is critical to a child's ability to learn and be successful, this service allows us to meet those needs during school breaks so that our students return ready to learn.”
Marana Cares Mobile is made possible through private donations, corporate sponsorships, charitable foundations and the USDA Summer Food Service Program (summer months only).
